A sigh escaped her chest as her partner spoke words of reassurance to her, though it wasn't out of former relinquishment. She was relieved now, relieved that she had a chance to start over with the relationships she had. She couldn't muster up the words yet. there were those three words she found herself hesitant in admitting, but slowly they were soon to collide.

And all of this seemed crazy still. Well beyond her expertise in immortality and possessing a sort of detached feeling towards bloodlust, it seemed that their togetherness was highly up for debate. But she didn't want to. All of these things were pushed aside in favor for the traits she had been asking most for in another. He hadn't told her a lie from what she's witnessed and had been one of the most self-assured people she knew. This was all why she believed him when he broke himself down like that, admitting her things she hadn't heard in ages. How he wanted something genuine, just like her. And staring up at him, as he was looking down at her, she could see the effects of their encounter on his features. He hadn't smiled quite like he was now before.

He did confuse her a bit though when he said that he couldn't show her. Did he then mean he didn't know how? Or was there nothing to show? Before the anxiety of that could kick in he went to reassuring that he did want to be with her, and her lifespan would lead to them being together. It was all so surreal to think that marking today she would not age. She was going to appear 21 forever, and be at this eternally youthful state. It was... Daunting, a bit. But Carl knew what it was like... At least she didn't have to watch any loved ones die as she never looked a day past this one.

But here and now she didn't have to worry about anything. Nothing but caressing him, nodding a bit to his words. It seemed crazy, and yet... She could believe it. At least for tonight, where everything was perfect. Technicalities were disposed of as she opted to drape her arms around his shoulders as he neared. Though it was a comment kept to herself, he was admittedly cute when he acted this way. Just like the young adult that he wanted to portray himself as- open, willing for the impossible, and generally hopeful for what was to come. It captivated her mind while he overtook her body. And as he joined her... Well, she fell deeper into this dreamlike state.

Her arms released as she kiss him, her body easing up. She'd let it happen, that feeling of bliss associated with him claiming her as his. Both physically and emotionally. Loralei reached back up only to stroke the side of his face again. It was that point though that he asked her if she was alright. And she responded.

"Mhmmm..." It was at first, her mind only halfway there as she let everything else overtake her. It took a few seconds later to truly process this question, to which Lori looked back at him with a soft expression clear on her features. "Of course, I... Why?" She leaned up to cup the sides of his head, gently easing it down so she could kiss him from where she lay. She then looked down, a bit uncertain. She chuckled a bit, though a hint of nervousness was in her voice. "I mean... It's kinda hard at least now to envision myself living so far ahead of a normal lifespan. I can't even be certain of tomorrow, let alone till the rest of eternity." It was then her voice lowered until it was barely a decibel above a airy whisper. "And... And what if neither of us see it that long? It's not guaranteed that we'll see the end of whatever's out there together. My life... My life is dictated by that teapot I gave you. If it's smashed... Well, I'm gone forever." It was a terrifying thought. And as she would breathe against what he was doing, her mind already scattered from being on cloud nine, she struggled to keep herself under wraps in terms of worrying herself too much with him. Her hands gripped around the sheets of the bed, her eyes shutting halfway. "I don't know if you can die. Or if you're as vulnerable as I am. I'm just new to this whole immortality thing, but..." If was then she regained herself a bit, putting on a smile as she knew that the only thing she could do was to live in the now. "I... I can't trouble with that now, right? Right now we have each other... Living in the moment. We'll live forever if fate deals us a good hand. But now I just want to hold you, without worrying about tomorrows. Carl, I..." Her voice trailed off, her eyes gazing up at him. Studying his face, the features of the guy she so wanted to call her own. But.. Would she say those words? Looking down she knew she couldn't, not without fear at least. But fear was just something that needed to be faced. A darkness quenched by light, and something that needed to be vanquished head-on. Besides, everything else was so seemingly insane. It was only one phrase...

"I love you."

For a moment, the girl's face almost reflected the anxiety arising from her upon her confession. She said she loved him... She actually did it. After months of inner turmoil to grasp her feelings about him starting from reluctance to acceoptence, Loralei finally reached her goal of coming clean. But, what would be the price? Her usual aloof behavior had already been lost from the beginning of this night, and now... Well, it had been curshed on account that her heart was once more three seconds away from bursting from her chest. Oh, she didn't want this night to come crashing down because of what she said! She almost looked down, but just right above her she saw...

A smile. Carl was smiling, in a way she hadn't seen before. And it was all real too, from the aura he was practically radiating. She could almost feel the fluttering of both her and her companion's chest. But before she could question this shared feeling, Carl delivered a response, and it was...

Exactly as hers. He loved her, he actually loved her.

All of this.. All of this couldn't be real. He had accepted the genie for who she was, and after everything they had been through she could finally say she was at an emotional level that synced up perfectly with another. It was euphoria, the unadulterated feeling of content. She was speechless from her relief and astounded that it actually was all true. So at the moment all she could offer a simple motion, to confirm her belief. Her hand slid up to rest itself on the one he caressed her face in. She laced her fingers within his own hand, as if another lock between them would further join themselves as one. It was a drug, almost. One yet without repercussions. Like a constant high without some sort of burnout in sight, Loralei continued to take hold of this man out of pure passion and newly realized infatuation. She chuckled with his comment. "Guess you're right." She whispered in reference to being tied together with him. It was a good deal for her, considering the guy she had tied herself to had supplied her with something she didn't think possible-freedom. And as he went back to his actions, she moved with him as if truly one. She reached up to trace along the contours of his body, breathing slowly as she was shifted on the sheets. To keep her mind from drifting off into what seemed like fantasy he brought her back to reassure her words prior. He told her things she hadn't imagined before in a partner. She was gifted freedom, protection, and genuine love. He would do these things for her for the rest of her eternal lifespan. He made himself seem even more human than he was. Not just an all powerful invoker, no. But someone willing to assist her, to see value in her being beyond just a wish granter and tool. He told her not to worry, not to get those overwhelming anxieties tangled in her head. She could relax, be herself, and not have to feel fear in what others may do with her. And honestly? She wanted everything to stop there. In terms of time and space, in this room, where he'd told her things she had wanted to hear for the longest time. The emotional bond and the feeling of warmth between them was a sensation she wished to hold onto and remember. And as he finished his assurances, each one sealed within a kiss or a touch, her arms instantly reached out to hug him close to her, her head resting on his shoulder. "That's... That's everything I've ever wanted..." She breathed, her adrenaline spiking as he increased his power over her. "I wish... I wish I was better with words so that I could describe how happy you've made me." She leaned out to the pillows, so that she could focus on his face as he joined into her. "Even when you're away, even when you're forced into that war... I'll be here. So don't worry about me. I want to be the one that's worth coming home to." Loralei's voice was almost faint at this point, barely audible as this sensation was overtaking her. But something else kept her grounded from drifting off, something about his love for her. In his several millennia lifespan, he hadn't once had someone to tell him that they loved him.

And to that, she was silent. For a few moments, that is.

To be lonely like that for so long was hard for her to fathom. Of course, she'd always seen him as an independent individual, and whatever they had previously was just an extra to his pre existing perfection. And even now she thought this. But to hear this... Well, that simply wouldn't do. "I can't even imagine-" She cut herself off, before looking up to him. She smiled, brightly. "Well, you're going to be hearing that a lot more often now. You've gone too long without someone telling you that you matter to them on an emotional level... So... So I'm going to do that, okay? I love you so much I..." She didn't even know how to finish that. Not yet, at least. Until he had assured her that he too did. Sighing, she nodded with a softer smile.

"Yeah, same."

And as she was reaching the peak of this ecstasy, he asked her if everything was alright. Of course it was. She felt more than good right now, so she gave him an eager nod. "Yeah. It feels great Carl." She almost panted out. It did. Why? There was real passion behind it. She was really feeling the connection between them on this very night. And that's what made it the best she's had in her entire life. "Even when this night is over we'll still have each other. Even when I go back to being my old self I'll still be yours. We'll make a good team, won't we?" She hoped so. She honestly hoped so.

With every fiber in her being, Loralei involved herself on the man with the grip on her. With every kiss to him she felt more at home, and the faster he went the more she dazed away. She couldn't help it though, this was the best sort of pleasure she had gotten in her life. Nothing was false or contrived. Every one in her past combined couldn't even scratch the surface of what pure love felt like in motion. And as he would enter her harder, faster, she in turn would hold on tighter. When he began to speak again, she was all ears. She forced to ground her mind as every gentle whisper to her, every assurance brightened her once dim sense of hope she held for herself in others. She honestly had given up a few nights before this. Almost. With other people anyway. But the answer to her problem, she would have never figured, was right in front of her this entire time.

So naturally she was just pleased for any title shared with her. The girlfriend, the other half of this pair, and the matching lover. She had all accepted these. Much better than what she would dismiss a few weeks ago as 'whatever this was'. Now it was certain. It was something far more beautiful than what she could have ever fathomed. With each gentle push into her, increasing in vigor but not aggression, Loralei finally allowed her breaking point to be seen and her mind to be set free. A hushed "Okay-" was the last thing that streamed from her lips in terms of active words. There was no need anymore. Basic instinct had kicked through and her mind was so open she let it all come in. She'd feel everything. His heart and whispers drained out whatever noise was left. Her breaths became wispy and swift. Her heart was pounding, and her heat almost reaching something of a emotional fever. She'd press kisses all over his exposed body just to keep her mind somewhere. But there was no use. Everything was going, going fast. She gripped harder onto the sheets, blood almost rushing to the surfaces of her hands from just how hard she was grounding her physical body. The last thing she heard was the re-declaration of those three words she had wanted to hear for such a long time, just before her mind seemed to fully leave this world.

But she'd let it wander. With less space taken up by the brain, her soul could piece together the rest of the information. And right now? The possibilities were endless for both of their souls to discover.

—-

After what seemed like an eternal night, the day was rearing its head through the window in radiant beams. It was over. Her birthday had come and passed, and with it the greatest present she'd ever received. But as the saying went, there were just some presents that would keep on giving. No further did this prove true than with the man still lying next to her.

For only what seemed like a few minutes, Loralei had been sleeping lightly with a brief nap taken after their little excursion into each other. It didn't help much, but at least it was quick enough so that dreams and perhaps nightmare didn't take over. These nightmares? That everything that just happened was but a dream. A wonderful, perfect dream. That she'd wake up and he'd laugh off whatever had happened, or even worse deny any true connection as false. But before these fears could realize themselves, everything proved itself to be real, judging by the arms still wrapped around her.

That, and just how much she hurt all over.

Their passion had worn down her small body, their actions leaving both of them restless and possibly injured. But that was unlikely. He was so gentle with her, after all. Under the sheets did she huddle up with him then, as if the heat of him would somehow ease her sore body. And it helped. Sort of.

But more than gladly did she nuzzle up under his grip to her, placing a hand on his chest as he kissed her gently. She chuckled a bit with his first sentiment, agreeing with the desire for the night prior to last forever. That, and let their immortal bodies not feel the weaknesses of regular humans. "I know that's right." She commented with a small yawn, before reaching up to stroke his face tenderly. She blushed a little bit upon his comment, and nodded as she agreed with his sentiment. "Mhm... You were, too. I've never felt so good in my life." Certainly not. All those other guys paled in comparison to him. Even in terms of making her happy. She hoped every one of his words were sincere. There still were fragments of the night she felt were all just a dream. She yawned again. "Man, I'm exhausted. Probably just going to spend today sleeping." Sounded like a plan. As long as she had him beside her, she really didn't mind what they did. She had him for eternity, and that eternity started today. "Did you have any plans?" She asked in a whisper, before chuckling a bit. "Not that I mind. Letting you do as you wish is the least I can do for you, considering last night." She did feel indebted by him. Maybe she'd adjust that feeling a bit, once they truly began to test the other boundaries of their love. They had forever, and it was all something she couldn't wait for. "Thank you, Carl. I can't say that enough."
