Were you to stand in the hallway, you might hear two voices speaking in low whispers. These voices would be very similar, the only difference being that one was slightly deeper, and it's words much more harsh.
If you were to turn the corner, to the area where it would seem the voices were coming from, you would see nothing.
Nothing but shadow.
But the voices, they would continue uninterrupted. Yes, they are aware of your presence. But of what use are you to them?
They are busy,
he is planning.

Michael stood in the dark, a grim smile on his lips.
'So, it seems the reflections have finally come together.' His voice said, laughter in it's words.
His lips had not moved.
Across from him was nothing. A dark, echoing void, blurred slightly at the edge of his vision. All he saw was this blackness, and the pair eyes watching him from it.
'If you must be so dramatic, then yes, you could say that.'
This was him.

From the dark space under which these eyes seemed to float, the voice from before emanated.
'Mmm-yes. Well, back to the point. Which is what we should do with this-' The voice stopped suddenly, and Michael felt the presence leave.
His narrowed eyes darted around, trying to find where his company had slipped off to.
'Where have you gone?' He asked, realizing the darkness was fading. As his eyes flew to his left he heard a loud crack, and he swore violently.
The blackness had subsided to gray now, and he ran. 'Where are you?' He yelled, but the sound bounced off of the walls of gray, echoing around him.
'Where are you? Where are you? Where are you?'
He ground his teeth, and then opened his arms wide, as if to embrace the sound. He closed his hands, clutching the gray, and pulled.
An earsplitting sound coursed through him, and he was knocked off his feet.

His eyes flickered open, and he saw blackness once again. His heart began beating wildly, but then he realized he was lying face first on the floor. Standing up slowly, his eyes surveyed the hallway.
It was empty.
He was alone.
He took a long breath, attempting to slow the beating of his heart.
'I'll find him,' he said in a husky voice. The sound of wind came to him, and he looked quickly to the wall behind him.
There a black shadow was being pulled into the wall. He heard a soft moan coming from it. He ran towards the wall, but as he reached it, the shadow disappeared.
He cried out, slamming his fist against the wall. Then slid his arm up, and rested his head on it. Staring at the the spot where the shadow had been.

Were you to have remained in the hallway throughout this. You would have heard nothing. All you would observe is a sudden stop to the voices, and then silence.
You would be alone, and would leave.
Unaware of the boy around the corner. Staring at the wall.
Alone.

I'm just organizing stuff. I didn't realize it, but I've kind of made a plot for my character.

So, for my own purposes:

(from the bottom up)

The Saga of Michael:

The missing half

The splitting

The first attempt

The idea

Equality

The first problem
