Distinguishing features;;
-MUMMY WRAPPINGS: To keep himself preserved, he must have most of his mummy wrappings intact. The off-white linen is wrapped around his neck, torso, legs and forearms. Around his wrists, the wrappings are loose and thus hang a foot and a few inches off like ribbons. Also, it may be important to note that what’s under his wrappings aren’t necessarily intact...
Attire;;
Akiila wears ‘witch-like’ attire and gothic fashions. Big pointy hats, loose robes, black clothes etc.. He is very attentive of his appearance, and likes to mix new styles with old. He’s rather androgynous with his fashion choice as well.

Personality
personality;; Akiila is, to put it in one word, a wildcard. The power of sorcery may have gotten to his head and caused a lot of trouble for him in the past. He’s eccentric, and a little too lively for being resurrected from the dead. He talks in hand motions and flits about without a care in the world. He doesn’t take anything seriously, evidenced by his constant need to smile or make a joke. This light-hearted nature is a bit off-putting, considering he’s not the most squeaky clean of individuals.
While not full-on evil, Akiila is a bit morally ambiguous. It’s hard to get a read on his intentions, and honestly it can seem as though that he does stuff for the hell of it. While he takes his business seriously one can never be 100% sure of what he’s selling you, especially when it comes to his potions. Results may vary, and unless a customer raises a huge stink about what he’s delivered it’s rare that he outwardly seems to give a care in the world about negative repercussions. That’s because he hates people killing his vibe, and that’s one of the few things he gets genuinely pissed off about. He hates when people can’t take a joke or go around with a stick up their butt and then put it on him. He doesn’t necessarily strive for malice- though if someone really did seem to be a bad guy he’d play around with them for a bit- but his skewed sense of right from wrong really does impact the level of people trusting him.
That said, Akiila is very knowledgable in his field and has wonderful expertise on what he loves doing. He’s a prankster and almost a child at heart. Though it is rare that he does make lasting relationships, he does tend to play favorites with spoiling his most precious confidants. He has a weakness for children and animals, so at least those are off limits to his shenanigans.

Power;; MUMMY/WITCH PHYSIOLOGY
MUMMY:
-Immortality: Being as his body has been preserved forever, he can live infinitely provided he performs a ritual every night before resting and keeps his wrappings in tact. His set of canopic jars contain his lungs, liver, intestines and stomach; which means he doesn’t need oxygen/nourishment to exist. His heart and surprisingly his brain have been in tact during the resurrection process, so that is what is keeping him alive.
WITCH:
-Conjuration/Enchantment: Provided Akiila has the right spell memorized or stated through an incantation, Akiila can perform a variety of magical feats using his specialized wand. Though he’s still learning, he’s managed to enchant a common wooden broom into a mode of transportation and transmogrify objects into different ones. He’s becoming stronger in both black and white magic. His most amount of expertise though can be found in his potion making ability.
-Potion crafting: Though not necessarily a magical power, Akiila is quite proficient in potion crafting. Years of hard study and determination to gather ingredients has provided him with the knowledge to craft almost anything off the top of his head. Love potion? He has it. Hallucinogens? Any kind you’d like. Appearance changers? No problem. He even has essenses specializing in changing your whole species. Of course, there’s some mixtures he still has to look up from time to time, and is always on the prowl for more.

-MUMMY’S CURSE: Akiila is doomed to walk the earth until he eventually gets dragged back to the underworld he was initially condemned to. In order to prevent that from happening, he must perform a ritual every night before wrapping himself back up and sleeping in the sarcophagus he was originally buried in. If he doesn’t, he has about two hours before he withers away into nothing more than dust, and his soul gets dragged back down to where it belonged, and his heart can be devoured once and for all.
-Even if he’s loyal to his curse, he cannot help the grips of anubis still on his soul. On nights of the full moon, Akiila becomes the state in which his body was before he was resurrected- rotten and crumbling. He can still be active and act normally, but his movements are slowed and his appearance disfigured. It is the one night he cannot sleep away his exhaustion, and the night following the moon’s resetting must have the ritual extended to keep himself alive.

Obtained Powers;; His witch side was something he had begun to apprentice as a child, and mastered throughout the years. His resurrection following death was caused by his childhood friend’s insistence to bring him back to her.

history;; Akiila was born the poor son of a pair of servants who had worked under the guidance of the pharaoh. In hopes for a better life for the two, Akiila was sent to become the apprentice of the pharaoh’s sorcerer. Under his guidance, Akiila became well-versed in white magic that’s sole purpose was to cater to the Pharaoh and appease the gods. But that was boring, to him. Akiila was always a troublemaker, and the only person that prevented him from doing anything malicious was a young girl who was training to become a priestess, who was naturally blessed with magic. This girl was Nefera, and she served as the only friend Akiila had ever made.
Throughout their teen years, Akiila and Nefera grew stronger in their magic. Nefera for the better, and perhaps Akiila for the worse. Akiila’s pranks became increasingly more dangerous, and despite Nefera’s warnings, he never listened. This ultimately backfired in the worst way possible for him, and led to his demise.
On the Pharoah’s birthday, Akiila had been tasked to deliver a dinner to the Pharoah that granted him vitality that would keep him healthy through his aging years. Akiila however had made an addition to the recipe, one that would change the Pharoah’s mouth to the color blue for a few days as a part of a small joke. Unfortunately, the ingredients weren’t right, and had caused the Pharoah to turn severely ill. This was seen as an act of treason and attempted assassination, to which was punishable by death and a one-way ticket to the underworld.
In the three days before Akiila’s scheduled execution, Nefera prayed to the Gods for mercy and forgiveness for her best friend. Though he was a favored patroness of the Gods, they felt as though the decision was just and the eternal conviction would teach him a lesson. Though she hated to go against their will, Nefera knew she had no other choice but to hatch a plan. Before his soul would depart this world and his heart be devoured by Ammit, she would have to steal it back and resurrect him so that he could live with her for the rest of her days, and perform a sacred immortality spell on the both of them.
When he was finally killed, Nefera had requested to have his body mummified under the long process, giving her plenty of time to retrieve him from the final gate of judgement. She defied every wish of the Gods and stole her way through the underworld, wearing away her human body in the process. Right before the all-knowing scales, Nefera tore her way through and stole back her friend, despite having the Gods that once love her curse their names. But she didn’t care. She was going to have her best friend back.
When they arrived back at the surface, the mummification process was complete. What was different about this one though was that she requested specially to have his brain remain in tact, so that his soul could properly resume the body. The process had worked, and her best friend was alive once more. Unfortunately, she couldn’t say the same for herself. With her last bit of energy, she cast two spells- one to have him slumber for centuries and wake up when the time was right, and the other to release her soul from her earthly body and transfer it to another creature. With a final kiss, Nefera passed him onto his slumber and her to the embrace of the death of everything she knew.
In the 1800’s, Akiila’s long forgotten tomb had been exhumed by a team of English archaeologists hoping to fill up a recently instituted Smithsonian museum. When they had rested for the night, the now-free sarcophagus began to open, and Akiila to resurrect. In fear, the team fled, leaving the mummy by himself… Well, except for a Fennec Fox that seemed to have been waiting for him for a very long time…
As it turned out, Nefera had transferred her soul over the centuries to a specific species of desert fox in order to have a mortal body to meet her best friend with once he resurrected, at the price of being able to verbally communicate with him. Together at last, the two had agreed to travel the world to seek out a new home and take artifacts along the way. They wandered for decades, until they found a certain archipelago to inhabit.
This place, found to them in the mid 20th century, was the Manta carlos Islands. Here they set up a home and a shop, to practice their passion and live together for the rest of time.
