Tim is pitch black and featureless other than glowing orange holes in place of eyes and a mouth, which are not visible when closed. The daeva is so thin that it appears to be two-dimensional, like a figure made of paper, and it's quite sharp. Usually appears in a legless semi-humanoid form, when not masquerading as Delara's shadow, with grasping claws, two long spindly arms, and a round head. It is usually about 5' tall.
His voice is very deep and guttural sounding, with a muddled Middle Eastern accent. It is fond of speaking in Old Persian when it does speak at all, usually content to be silent and plot.
Bright red ribbons connect Tim's wrists to Delara's arms. These ribbons are invisible to normal non-gifted humans.
Personality Description:
Although it's an ancient evil entity, Tim is generally quite mellow and secretly likes its bonded. It prefers to be a quiet observer or simply zone out and listen. They will say they're plotting things like world domination and murder, which is sometimes true, but quite often they're just replaying funny cat videos in their head.
Tim is a Monty Python fan and insists on being called that instead of its actual name, even though its true name has no real power over it. They generally prefer slapstick and crude humour. The daeva is entranced by loud music and attracted to destruction, sweat, and noisy chatter.
Being bonded for so long has stunted Akempan's power so much that it is really more of a nuisance than a terror, and it does its best to live up to this. Generally, it tries to be as unhelpful as it can to Delara while still protecting her and only being able to tell her the truth.
Species Abilities:
Daeva-bond - Cannot lie to or physically harm Delara, is bound to protect her, and must answer any question she asks it. The daeva and bonded feel each other's pain. Its maximum size and level of power increase proportionately to the age and control of its bonded.
The daeva's edges are as sharp as diamond but it is not physically strong - could lift 25lbs at the most. The only exception to this is Delara, who it can lift and carry as if she was weightless if she allows it to.
Limited shapeshifting - It will always be bound to its bonded by red ribbons and attached at some point of their body. It always appears shadow-like - pitch black, except the glowing holes, and two-dimensional. It can grow to a length of 10 ft in any direction from Delara but can be no more than a foot wide when fully extended.
Immune to cold/poison/disease and doesn't eat/sleep/breathe. Normal physical weapons can pass through it, but it heals quickly and doesn't exactly feel pain. It can be harmed by magic, especially healing/light/life magic. Can be harmed with holy weapons, but otherwise unaffected by Christian holy symbols. Is hurt by and could be destroyed with fire (which would also destroy its bonded) but would resurrect unbound after a month or so. Can be repelled by Zoroastrian prayers. Is weak and nearly dormant in the sunlight. Though bonded, the daeva is still a separate entity for magic targetting purposes.
If Delara dies before passing it on, it will be unbound. If it is killed before Delara passes it on, she will die. If the daeva is ever unbound it will be teleported back to its original point of bonding somewhere in Armenia.

They are invisible to normal non-gifted humans and most cameras, but show up on the infrared spectrum and can be seen by animals, magical beings, and any magic-touched humans. The ribbons are intangible and cannot be harmed except by specially enchanted weapons. Breaking the ribbons would unbind the daeva.
Biography:
The daeva doesn't remember much about its life before being bonded into Delara's family line centuries ago. It knows it was a powerful force of destruction and her ancestors were skilled and tricked it. Although it started its bond by killing Delara's mother, this was more a function of the bond's magic than any actual antagonism.
Akempan was looking forward to being freed when it was discovered Delara was barren but was foiled by her becoming a vampire. It has grown close to the girl, the only constant in her life since birth. It doesn't do much with its life other than help her train, zone out, and watch movies when it can. But since it's literally attached to Delara, there's not much it can do about that.
