Akechi Abara

Akachi is a young child, no older than twelve. She is spry, if a bit round in the face, and has countless trinkets dangling from her neck, wrists, and ankles. The skin around her eyes is adorned with white spots and her clothing consists of an odd combination of modern and traditional.

Akechi looks at everything around her with a degree of wonder and excitement. When she is in her spirit form, she leaves behind the faintest sound of laughter and the clinking of her trinkets in her wake, especially when she bumps into or runs through things.

Akechi is, first and foremost, a child. That is to say she has no end of curiosity and excitement and practically nothing in the way of a filter on what she says. Beyond this, she seems to be uncomfortably knowledgeable about things going on around her, particularly ancient history and religion. She also likes talking, and will interrupt others to tell the story that they were about to tell themselves, provided she knows the answer to the question of course.

Her strangest quirk however is that Akechi will promise to deliver any message to anyone for nine of any one thing (nine of the same coin, nine matching buttons, etc.). She adores the color red.

Akechi cannot get lost, even by magical means. If she has been properly paid to deliver a message to someone, she knows the location of her intended target anywhere on Earth. This can be blocked by powerful anti-scrying magic, but otherwise functions perfectly. Proper payment involves intentionally giving her nine identical or nearly identical objects (such as nine pennies. nine assorted coins will not work). Akechi does not need to personally know her target to be able to locate them.

Spirit Byways
To the normal person, it seems as though Akechi can turn invisible. This is inaccurate, however. She slips into the plane of spirits, where she can vaguely see the physical world. While in the spirit world she is undetectable by normal senses, although those who can sense spirits and the unseen can see and interact with her normally. In the spirit world, she passes through solid objects as though they are not there and can walk on water. Over the ocean she can travel seven leagues in a single step in the spirit world.

Akechi cannot hear the normal world while she is in the spirit world. Neither can she interact with the physical world. However, she can clearly see anyone she has been paid to deliver a message to as a beacon.

Passive
God Sense
Akechi is aware of anyone with a spark of divinity within them. Full deities show up the best for her, but she can usually tell if someone is a demigod of some sort.

Omnilingualism
Akechi can understand every language native to Earth. She can also be understood by anyone regardless of their language of choice. It is not immediately obvious that she is speaking a different language to different people in a crowd.

Weakness

Akechi was born in a small village in West Africa, living her life easily. Then one day, some men came and traded things with the elders. Everything after that was kind of a blur for a while. Akechi was moved to another country where she lived in a big house. It took her some time to adjust to this new life, but she eventually did. She made friends with the other residents of the house, but even as she got used to her new life she was uprooted again.

Now she lives on Manta Carlos. The school seems to be aware of her vaguely, but she politely declined to go to school. She has caretakers and is hoping that he friends show up before too long.

Lives with a caretaker and gets an allowance to spend on things she wants.
