Name: Portia Ophelia Drachentoter
Age: 18
Birthday: December 27
Gender: Female
Species: Dragon-human hybrid
Class: High School
Grade: 12
Appearance Description: She’s not hard to pick out of a crowd. Portia favors bright colored clothing, now no longer in her pure goth phase. She stands at 5'8" with pink hair that flows down her back. Portia has a notable set of pronounced fangs. She also sports a pair of small horns as well as reptilian green eyes which often gets her mistaken for a demon.
Personality Description: Based on her general expression she may come off as bored. Portia’s not exactly guarded when it comes to emotions, but she’s not exactly emotive. At least, not when she’s around people she doesn’t know well. When she is in more comfortable company she's much more relaxed and open. And regardless of who she's around, she tends to exude a sort of confidence. One may even credit this to her Draconic nature. Portia has a healthy appetite for adventure and exploration. She's also always game for a good sparring match. Portia’s loyal to a fault and is there whenever a friend may need her.
She was raised with a strong sense of justice and in the past has had trouble seeing the world in anything outside of black and white. Her time on the island has helped change these views however. She has also embraced her draconic nature more as time has gone on. It shows through as she can be very stubborn and competitive. She also tends to show a good deal of pride. All and all she’s the type who wants to see the right results work out in a given situation.
Powers:
Dragon blood: Portia’s human blood was drained out and replaced with dragon’s blood back on her fifth birthday. The transfusion altered her physique changing her appearance to the more unusual one she has now. The transfusion also grants her heightened senses, reflexes, and durability. She’s nowhere near bullet proof, but she’s definitely not as dainty as she might look. A blow that would knock the average human unconscious can bruise her but wouldn’t take her out. She also possesses Strength levels that push just past human limits. A full powered kick from her could almost knock a car on its side. It’s this strength that also allows her to wield her two handed sword with relative ease.
Accelerated healing: It’s a more unexpected side effect of the transfusion. The dragon the blood came from may seemed to have had a stronger life energy than average. Portia can heal from injuries much faster than the average human. Minor cuts, bruises, and scratches may only take a few minutes to heal. She cannot regenerate lost limbs however, if they’re recovered and reattached it can take a couple weeks to regain full functionality again. Like her limbs, she can’t just regrow her organs though they can heal from severe damage if helped along properly. Thus what may be considered fatal for the average human may only have her laid up in the hospital for a few months. And apart from necromancy, she’s definitely not bouncing back from an outright decapitation.
Note: Her sword has no magical qualities aside from being big, heavy, and able to take down most supernatural creatures. She’s still very diligently training in her family craft.
Biography: The Drachentoter family is renowned as one of the foremost monster hunting families in the world. Their primary claim to fame being the initial ancestor who managed to singlehandedly slay a dragon. They don’t actually hunt indiscriminately, only targeting the creatures that would be considered problematic menaces. Over time, they’ve mastered weapon crafting and blood based transfusion rituals to enhance its members. Thus over the centuries they’ve managed to secure their spot as a respected family many of whom work as agents maintaining the veil.
Portia is the new heiress to the family. Like most members of the family she started receiving combat training at after her fifth birthday and blood operation. She was strong and spirited, rather quick to learn in all of her studies and endeavors. Training didn’t just involve learning hand to hand combat and swordplay, it also instilled thorough knowledge on all manner of supernatural beings. How to address the more friendly ones as well as how to fight or escape the more hostile species. The only thing she seemed to truly lack in were friends her age to interact with. Understanding the strong need for this her parents decided to send her off to school in Manta Carlos for high school and college. She may however stay longer depending on her experiences.
Additional Information: She is fluent in several languages, but most notably is able to speak fluently in the truest form of Draconic.
