Lexi ran and ran until she couldn't go on. Her body just gave up on her as she was in her blue dress. Now covered in dirt as she just fell to ground the ground. The scared little girl looked at her hands that were covered in her.. What does she call him? He wasn't her real dad. Did she over react? She shook her head. She was worried about him, but she ran away and hurt him. Octain was something special to her, but this was.. She felt like she was living a lie, that something shattered deep with in her heart.

She huffed and puffed trying to catch her breath as her body was on it's last bit of energy. She went to a small pond as she cleaned her hands and moved to another spot to drink. Taking a hand full of water as she sipped it from her hand. Sighing lightly as she moved over to a tree to curl up beside it. Her tail wrapping around her. No purring this time. She realized that she ran from home and was disgusted with herself. Her eyes looked around the whole area as she mew'd like a scared cat.

Hoping that either her father or Kimiko would find her. Or someone who could look after the scared little girl.

She didn't want to be alone...

Kimiko wasn't exactly quiet in her pursuit, but crap, what was she supposed to do?

As soon as Lexi left, Kimiko opened a window and jumped straight from the second floor, her armor wrapping around her body in a burst of light even though she wasn't even thinking of knights, princes and princesses. Those stuff were so secondary! This, this was intense, she could feel her heartbeat like a cacophony on her neck and wrists. She was so fucking frustrated she could cry.

Lexi was so fast, but her armor gave her an advantage. Soon enough, she saw her silhouette enter the forest.

She was gone before she could even call her.

Kimiko rushed straight into the mouth of the great labyrinth and followed her footsteps. It was dark, and it was scary, and she was too tired to even fight any monsters she might find but god fucking damn it. You know? God fucking damn it, Kimiko wasn't a quitter. She'd quit when she was dead.

She caught visual of her.

Oh god.

Tears began to form on her face.

"Lexi!"

Lexi heard someone coming behind her. curling up a bit more. Her once pretty blue dress was now ripped, and dirty. Mud caking her flip flops as she couldn't help but curl up a bit more. Her head in her knees as she started to cry. Eventually stopping as the footsteps got closer and closer. Her ears picked it up. It sounded so familiar. Even though..

She realized she didn't even want to look up. She knew why Octain wore his mask now. So no one had to see his face. What ever it was he was hiding. He was using it a shield for something.

She heard her name being called.

It was Kimiko...

"Kimi.. W-why did you follow me? Are you going to tell me I'm not your friend anymore..?"

She spoke lightly. Stilled curled up as she almost wanted to burst into tears. Her frail heart couldn't take much more. she was a mess to say the least. Her eyes dared not look up to Kimiko at all.

Kimiko saw everything.

Lexi thought Kimiko hated her for what she did. Hated Octain. It was all her fault..

The knight in shining armor felt so much like a little girl then, but determination flowed like fire inside her body. She straightened her back, steeling herself. She wasn't giving up. She couldn't give up.

It was almost funny how Lexi would think Kimiko would abandon her in this state. She couldn't, wouldn't even dare.

"You know I won't. You know I'm here for you, Lexi!" Her voice broke then, and it didn't sound tough. She always tried to be an example for her friends but she was having a heart attack right now, pushing on despite being emotionally devastated and physically exhausted. It didn't matter. Getting Lexi back to safety, that was what mattered.

"Please, please. This..." Her tearful eyes looked at the forest yonder. She was shaking. "I don't want this for you. Come home, Lexi. If you don't want to come home, stay with me. I can't let you live here. You're a good girl with people that care about you." She approached her and attempted to put a hand on her back. She would carry her, if she let her. She didn't have to walk. Hell, she didn't have to do anything other than stay.

"Kimi.." Lexi's eyes were still full of tears. Her dress in tatters for the most part. She couldn't help but look away from Kimiko. She harbored DEEP feelings for her. Though it would be evident she wasn't about to tell her. Lexi was scared. Too scared for anything. She listened to her voice crack. Lexi looked at Kimiko. With the pizza stain still on her. She looked down again.

"This is more deserving of me.. I hurt Mister Octain. He's..." Her eyes changed. Her eyes glowed a brilliant blue. "He.. Lied.. He told me to always tell the truth. Yet.. I'm.." She looked down at the ground. "I'm an orphan.. Aren't I?"

Though something told Lexi to grab Kimiko's hand. Her hand reached out. Slowly but surely Eventually grabbing her hand. Though instead Lexi was picked up. held in the air by her knight in shining armor. Even though Kimiko didn't have armor on. Lexi knew that Kimiko was her knight.

"I.. Thank you Kimiko. I just don't... I don't want to go home. I have no where to call home. Mister Octavius probably wants nothing to do with me now. He hates me.. Genesis..." she started to cry. Shoving her face into Kimiko's shoulder. She was terrified.

"Kimi.. I.. I'm sorry.. I'm sorry I hurt mister Octain.. I just... He always told me to be honest but he wasn't... I don't know what to do.. I don't have a home.. He hates me. I...."

She kept crying. The little girl. Experiment. Who had to go through so much trauma. This was the worst thing she ever experienced. She wanted to leave the island. Get far away from Octain as possible maybe.

But... Something told her. Something in her heart. That Octain still loved her. That Otain cared. but her emotions. Her nature got in the way of it.

Kimiko held Lexi firmly in her arms. Lexi didn't need to walk anymore. It was all right. She'd carry that burden for them.

Man, what a day. Maybe she'd pushed a little too hard but... Even when they had disagreements, she knew Octain and her still loved each other, and if they still had that love, things would get better. Not immediately, but they would. She was hopeful about that! Kimiko started to walk towards the Academy and not Lexi's place. It wouldn't do good to shove them back into drama, so she wouldn't.

"You're not an orphan," she told her firmly. "You have a father. Mr. Octain is still your father! I know you've both been through a lot, so that's why I know he still loves you. Families, even good families, fight all the time. He won't leave you just like that. Heck, I'll fight him if he does! He can't do that to you!"

The night was so quiet. She rubbed reassuring circles on Lexi's back. "Let's... sort this out in the morning. Everyone's tired and feeling bad. You need sleep and a full stomach. For the time being, you can stay in my room and you can, uh, have my bed. I'll stay on the couch. And then we can call up Mr. Octain and take you two to family counseling. Does that sound all right?"

Lexi's body was carried by Kimiko. She was shaking. Still stirred about what happened today. everything was fine.. She just had to ask and find out.

She couldn't help but be a little flustered or blush when being so close to Kimiko. She was happy about this part. It got them closer. "M-maybe. I just don't feel like I have a home anymore. I'm scared to go back." Lexi's head shook a bit as Kimiko spoke of fighting. "please.. Don't fight him if he doesn't. I don't want to hurt him further because of me. It's all my fault. It was my fault to begin with."

She spoke lightly. burying her head into Kimiko's shoulder like a cat would.

"Maybe waiting until morning would be a good idea. I-.. Don't have an issue using the couch. or.. sharing.. I don't want to push you out of your comfort zone Kimiko." She spoke lightly. Maybe family counseling would be the way to go. They could have someone listen to their stories of what happened but also.. Maybe they don't need it and Lexi just over reacted?

This was all hard. Kimiko wasn't smart like all her other friends. She didn't know how to figure any of this stuff out. But, god, did she try.

It didn't take long for Kimiko to get to the school, Lexi in tow. She headed straight for the female high school dormitory towards her room, unlocking the door. She set Lexi down on the couch for a while. "Be right back, don't move," she told her, raising a finger as she locked herself in her room to prepare.

Huff. What could she do here to make it better for Lexi? Kimiko climbed her massive closet and pulled out blankets and pillows, throwing them around and setting the most intense pillow and blanket fort this side of the campus. She decorated them with Christmas lights and turned off the lights so the soft, dim glow of the Christmas lights illuminated the room.

She left her room, gesturing for Lexi to go in the room with her. She gestured at the set-up with a dramatic 'ta-dah!' "I know times are tough for you right now. You don't know what to do or what to think, if you can go back to your old life. But..." She took both of Lexi's hands into her own. "Don't think for a moment that you're not loved. You're my princess, Lexi. You're your dad's princess too. Never, ever forget that."

Kimiko climbed into the bed, gesturing for Lexi to follow. "Well, come on. Let's sleep. I'll make you breakfast tomorrow, pancakes with strawberries, sound good? We can talk to Mr. Octain then." She yawned, stretching her limbs. "Oh gosh I'm tired!"
