- Giovanni stands at a height of 6'2ft, built with broad shoulders and a dignified stance. His skin tone is a little tan to olive. His dark auburn hair grow past his ears but he often keeps it slicked back. On his off days, he usually just has a clip to pull up his fringe. Like his mother, he has dark mossy green eyes that seem to glow when in the light. The air his face shows greatly differs whether he smiles or not: when he's smiling, he looks somewhat approachable, otherwise he looks downright intimidating.
He dresses rather formally--dress shirts, slacks and all. He'd sometimes throw in a tie, a vest or suspenders when it looks nice. There are days he goes out with a fedora on--usually when it's sunny.

- Giovanni often looks like the guy who's going to rip off your throat if you dare cross his path. He carries an imposing aura: classy, dignified and unbreakable. Even so, he is quite a people person. He may come off intimidating, but he is very amiable. People say his smile makes it seem like the heaven is shining down on him.
This is him in a business-like situation. Put him in a space where he has to hang out, sit back and relax and he won't be able to move an inch. Giovanni is charismatic, yes, but it's almost like he forgets how to socialize once the business aspect of anything is gone. He manages to, yes, but for anyone who is good with reading people, Giovanni is not as nearly skilled with small talk. He often just quiets down during these points.
Giovanni is actually this awkward introvert who's really bad at being social. It always just seems like he's really great at it since he could carry a conversation. He's the sort who can get flustered in point-five seconds after you bring up a weird topic he's not used to. Giovanni is sweet and dangerously selfless, but this doesn't often show because of his cool, somehow flippant attitude.
Giovanni doesn't seem like he's interested in anything, and he has better things to do and this makes him near unapproachable to some. To a point, yes, he is usually disinterested in the things around him but he is quite phlegmatic and can easily be swayed by emotions. One way to talk him into things is to be enthusiastic about it and that's sure to drag him in.

- Weapon Summons (Main) - Giovanni can conjure his own weapons. He is capable of summoning two hand guns at his command: a silver one and a golden one. Both are intricately designed--the silver one having half of a bow on the barrel, the end of it close to the grip is decorated with the upper half of a quiver filled with arrows, and what looks like part of a deer head on the grip frame, while the golden one displays a laurel wreath pattern on the barrel and what seems like part of a lyre on the length of the grip. He can summon both or one at a time; although he prefers to summon both to maximize the usage.
Should Giovanni choose to summon one at a single time, he can use their special attribute. The golden one, Apollon, is affiliated with fire. Each shot can basically start a fire that is capable of spreading depending on the surface it catches. The silver one, Artemisia, on the other hand is capable of freezing the target, encasing it in ice.
The ammo of the guns are made out of crystallized mana and are relatively unlimited until he is completely drained out of it. The guns also disappear when he runs out of mana, being unable to retain their solid form with Giovanni weakened. The bullets he can fire with dual wield inflict more damage but neither can use their attributes when both are summoned. The costs of one affinity-type mana bullet is equivalent to two or three normal mana bullets.
Transcendence (Latent) - According to his mother, there is a "fail-safe mode" from the ability he possesses. If he is able to access into this mode, he can double up his magical ability and enhance his physical prowess for a certain length of time. He hasn't learned how to access this mode as of yet, nor has he seen it, and thus has no idea of its limitations or what it looks like.
Weapons Training (Skill) - Giovanni is trained to handle guns. While he is trained with a range from handguns to heavy artillery, he has a preference for dual wielding hand guns. Because of his ability, he doesn't need to carry any around but that makes him rather dangerous to challenge.

- Giovanni was the eldest son of two powerful business moguls, Theresa Salvacion-Nightingale and Constantin Nightingale. As the eldest, he had to become the role-model and the most responsible one among his younger siblings. He kept this up well-- much better than he was expected to be. In school, he was an studious, an achiever that even his teachers commend his genius. In the business scene, he was a charming young boy--so charismatic that his parents' business colleagues acknowledge that he would become a great spokesman when he grows up. Giovanni became the son his parents could be proud of and the brother his siblings could look up to.
That was until he turned 13 and he learned about all the secrets his parents had kept from him. He found out Theresa had been involved with the mafia and apparently, he was the one to follow in her footsteps and must undergo training. More to that, he learned that he was a child born out of wedlock, and the man he grew up to be his father was not even his own. At the age of 13, Giovanni felt like his life ended and everything he knew about himself was a lie.
Giovanni was outraged by this revelation and his response was an outright rebellion. His step-father, Constantin was greatly affected by his actions. Theresa on the other hand still put up a fight. One which didn't work so much. Giovanni held his ground. He threw out all his achievements and his responsibilities, mostly to spite his parents for deceiving him.
As the years pass, he saw his family crumble. His misconduct nearly caused so much losses in business due to his father's worry and stress, while his mother was swamped with both business and intrigue within the mafia--something he could have helped with. What was supposed to be the perfect image his parents of a family built for him was lost with his siblings. He was overcome with guilt, feeling that all had been his fault.
In hopes of gaining back his parents' trust, he went back onto his feet and began to rebuild his life when he was 16. He attempted to reconcile with his parents. First and foremost, he approached their mother, hoping he could still regain her favors. It took a while but he managed to do this. When he turned 18, his mother passed on to him the Salvacion family 'heirloom': a spell marking that enables him to tap into his lineage's magical ability. He reoriented himself to the person his mother expected him him to be from the very start. His mother soon came to warm up to him again and he was eventually introduced to the group. For Giovanni, it seemed to him like he was going to be able to fix everything.
Nearly a year later, his younger brother ran away from home. Both he and his mother had a few of the men inconspicuously search the city for the him but only a week later, they find out that there were men who had taken him captive. The group had raised impossible demands that basically meant the end of this the fairy tale he'd been trying to build, and his entire family. They failed to meet their demands. Within a month from the notice, the captors sent them an his brother's lucky pendant covered in blood.
Giovanni was enraged. He had their men search for the kidnappers and be rid of them. Once again, he was driven by rage and vengeance. He hated himself for losing sight of everything before, and he thought it was because of him that they lost his brother. Theresa tried in all her power to help his son. In hopes for helping him cope from the stress and depression, his mother decided to answer to the invitation from Starlight Academy, away from all the mafia dealings that bogged down on him until he has recovered.
(Giovanni graduated with a bachelor course in Business Administration and has returned to take his master's degree. He writes letters to his family every so often and visits home during summer break. His mother has since passed down the duties onto him in her stead).

- He is the biological brother of Terrance Virtue.
- The Salvacion lineage are natural magic users but it takes a spell seal for them to be able to utilize it. The seal is passed on among members around the age of 12 to 15 years of age. Other than having a transcendence mode, the abilities manifest differently for each holder. Theresa's version enables her to summon a number of swords at a time. The mark is always located a little below the collar bone in the middle of the chest, in the shape of a four pointed star. Only a holder can bestow the mark on other members of the family.
- The Salvacion family is deeply associated with the Famiglia Delfino.
- His mother, Theresa Anastasia Salvacion, was the sole heiress of the Salvacion house and was married to a man named Constantin Nightingale. Giovanni was born before his mother was married to Constantin two years alter, thus, while he used Nightingale, the name in his birth certificate is "Giovanni Elizarde Salvacion".
- This is the Nightingale family's story in Giovanni's perspective; completely different from how Terrance had seen things. Many things were concealed from the siblings up until the point of Terrance's alleged kidnapping.
- Giovanni hasn't caught wind of his brother's presence in the city, mainly because he doesn't know the connection between the Virtues and his brother. Also because they think he's already dead.
