She usually ties it up in a high ponytail or two pigtails with longer strands framing the side of her face. Her tail is violet purple with scales that reflect as pink when they catch the sunlight.
Personality Description:

Powers:
Hydrokinesis: Mira is able to manipulate, shape and control water. Mira cannot create water from nothing or change other forms of water, such as solid or gas, into the liquid state. Her water abilities are more powerful in the ocean then in artificial constructs like pools or tanks. Her abilities are semi-powerful in smaller natural bodies of water, i.e: rivers, lakes, and ponds. Manipulating large amounts of water over long periods of time is exhausting.
-Water Healing: A subpower of her kinesis is Water Healing. With this, she is able to heal herself or others with water by having water molecules repair and regenerate damaged cells. She cannot heal every ailment or injury if it is too severe, and internal injuries are hard to heal.
Aquatic Communication: Mira is able to understand the speech or emotions of aquatic life forms. This power can be compared to telepathy, however it is solely for communication with fish. All communication is mental, as Mira is unable to speak, she must use the fish for communicating with people.
Natural Abilities:
Underwater Breathing: Mira is able to breathe both under water and on land. This is due to a set of lungs and a pair of gills just below her ribcage. She is capable of staying underwater for as long as she likes and can reemerge, ready to breathe oxygen again. Any pollutants or chemicals in the water can damage her lungs so it's best for her to breathe in only clean water.
Transformation: Whenever Mira is either fully or partially (from the waist down) submerged in water, her legs meld together to form a tail. When she's out of the water and fully dry, her tail splits to form a pair of legs. The change between each form, from the second she's submerged or the second she's fully dry, takes five minutes.
Biography: Mira was born in sunny Australia in a coastal fishing town. She seemed like the perfect child in her early years. She was the cutest baby around, very well behaved, listened to her parents. But she had, as some may call it, a flaw. She was born mute. But she had a way out. Growing up, there was nothing that this girl loved better than swimming. She would swim all the time when she wasn't at school or doing homework. For her, swimming was a way to be free. Like most children, she was bullied. The reason for her bullying was her disability. She grew to hate it. However, when she swam, she didn't need to think about it. You couldn't talk underwater anyway.
Even though she was raised in a family of mermaids outside of Manta Carlos, the family worked very hard to keep their secret hidden. However, when Mira was 8, tragedy struck. During a swimming trip with her family, she was caught in a fishing trawler's net. Luckily, her father had his pocket knife on him and cut her loose, but Mira had already broken the surface of the water. Fearing they were seen, the family went back home the long way. Because of this situation, Mira developed anxiety.
As they were trying to put the episode behind them, there was a knock on the door. As it was, Mira was actually spotted by Australian coast guards and reported. Fearing the supernatural, the Australian government had them exported. They moved to the Philippines, where they stayed with relatives. Mira still couldn't stay out of the water and the adults of the family, worried she would inadvertently reveal their secret again, began to talk.
When Mira was 9, the family moved to Manta Carlos. Mira attended Starlight Academy, resuming her daily swim.
Additional Information: She was born mute. She has an extensive collection of shells. She has anxiety.
