Appearance Description:
Yuuki is a six feet tall kirin, yes, that's their height counting their horn, but don't tell anybody. Their soft blond hair is usually tied in a knot or braided, and the fur of their thin tail and hooves are of the same color. Two long thin ears peek out of their hair, similar to a deer's. The slightly dark tone of their skin adds a nice contrast to their hair, and it also makes the soft lilac of their narrow eyes and their horn stand out. Yuuki's arms and legs might look slender, but you can tell they are kind of chubby by their cheeks and that tummy that stands out a bit.
As for clothing, Yuuki adores oversized sweaters and flowy skirts and dresses. Their clothing is pretty colorful, all soft and pastel shades. Though it might be a bit uncomfortable, they try to always wear shoes even if they don't fit their hooves comfortably. Besides, it's surprising how slippery some floors can be when you walk on them with your bare hooves, no need to go around falling face first everywhere. Cutesy accessories are very important too, even if the hospital uniform is pretty plain, that doesn't mean you can't get some nice glittery star hairpins on your hair to look nicer, right?
Personality Description:
Not the most social person out there, to be honest, they've never been the sort of individual who makes friends easily. Yuuki tries to be nice to everyone, tho they will probably shy away if try to get closer to them as a friend or anything. Once you manage to take them out of their bubble, well, they turn out to be real silly, like a lot of people. What do I mean by silly? I mean the most horrible puns ever in an a attempt to be funny, and ridiculous swears like dummy or dingle to pretend they are actually angry. You'll usually see their bright side, positivity even when there's no way one can be positive, cheery smiles and shy glances now and then. When you get to their closest circle, things get overprotective, but hey, always trying to sound as if they have the best of intentions for your own good.
Sadly, no matter how determined to be positive you are, things can't always be flowers and sunshine. They still try to face dark times and sadness with a smile, though the rest of their face completely betrays them. Yuuki is not the kind of person who takes action when all things go to hell, it is usually kind of "everything is going to be okay, the pain will go away eventually" because they don't believe they have enough strenght to face things directly.
Anyone can get angry and anyone can snap, right? They are no different, specially when things have been stacking and they can't handle all of it with a smile anymore. I'm pretty sure you don't want to get a tracheotomy with their horn, so let them breathe when this happens or Yuuki will end up saying or doing something they will regret once they've calmed down, and this involves lots of tears and apologizing once the storm that is their bottled up feelings fade.
Powers:
Chlorokinesis
They can control all sorts of plants, making them either bloom or wither. This control also includes, for example, making vines grow and act like tendrils. This can exhaust them if they use it for too long or too agressively, like attacking with a few huge ones quickly at the same time. It also includes being able to use the magical properties plants possess, which they use for making specific medicine or charms, protection spells (thanks to a warlock who helped Yuuki develop their chlorokinesis) and other things that aren't that nice, like a few curses and poisons extracted from plants spiced with some magic. You don't want to get some of those last ones on your drink, the things they can do to you can be pretty terrifying, like inducing sleep paralysis and dreams where you actually feel pain, or hallucinations of intense pain all over your body. Thankfully, Yuuki doesn't like to use all the scary parts of their powers and knowledge, and refuses to work with poisons or curses, unless you put them under extreme pressure and don't give them any other option.
Kirin
Kirin are considered a good omen, since they are known for bringing peace and happiness. They are also said to live up to 1000 years and are seen as incredibly powerful divine creatures, though by kirin standards Yuuki is not that incredibly powerful. Other kirin traits are being able to tell between good and evil, as in being able to tell the difference between truth and deception or noticing how pure someone is, but no one is completely pure of heart anyway, and always reaching their destination while avoiding every trap and obstacle. However if they were to find someone in their path, that doesn't count as 'avoidable object or trap', the whole right path deal doesn't include living creatures standing in your way. Thanks to this last one they are seen as great spiritual guides.
Biography:
Yuuki was born in a small village, right after the death of a very wise man known by pretty much all of its inhabitants. The other circumstances of their birth are unknown, and the kirin has no memories about any biological parents. Soon enough, they were found in a bed of flowers by an old lady who lived by the foot of the forest near the village and took care of them for the first years of their life. This lady had a beautiful garden, which she spent most of her time taking care of alongside Yuuki, who still keeps many happy memories of their time there. She didn't seem weirded out by their hooves, tail or even their horn, so they always felt quite comfortable around her, though Yuuki was too shy to try and approach the other villagers, and the fact that they were different from the rest didn't help much with self-confidence.
By the time they were six, the lady passed away and the kirin child was left alone in the garden, mourning her death. They were found by a warlock who seemed to have known their guardian when she was young, Yuuki had heard some old stories about this person, but it obviously took some time for the child to trust them. This warlock seemed to have powers related to earth and flora, which surely was some extra points since Yuuki liked having someone who knew how to take care of the garden they loved so much.
But this couldn't last forever. Eventually, the warlock took Yuuki with them, to a place far, far away. This place was an orphanage specifically for supernatural children like them where, still being quite shy, they managed to finally form some friendships. Here's where they found out they had magic, magic that could control plants. Thanks to their new caretaker's help, they learnt how to develop their powers properly, while also learning some basic spells they could combine with all the chlorokinesis deal. Here they spent the rest of their childhood and teenage years, with their new happy family.
When the time for choosing wether to go to college or not, Yuuki ended up leaving the orphanage to pursue a career in medicine. With lots of effort and help from the warlock, who surprisingly had contacts in really far away place, they ended up in Manta Carlos City, studying at Starlight Academy. A few years later, they graduated and began working at Manta Carlos Hospital, where they still work nowadays as a doctor.
Additional Information:
• They always carry a strong lavender candle scent, with or without some other sweet burnt scents.
• Has a very extense knowledge of herbology.
• Drinks way too much tea and is strictly vegetarian.
• Cooking is definetly not their thing, if you make them cook something that's not fairly simple get ready to taste hell.
• Wishes to have a garden as beautiful as the old lady's someday, but for now they have to settle for a few potted plants in their small flat.
• They don't have an actual last name, so they just use the lady's of the orphanage's, but usually they just go by their first name.
• During their time at the orphanage, they were homeschooled with the rest of the kids there and had a fae teacher.
• Though they are really far from their old home now, Yuuki is still in contact with their family, they try to chat with them whenever it's possible.
• They haven't kept in touch with their roots since they left their first home.
