Appearance Description:
Victoria is a young woman with a slender figure and relatively-sized breasts. She is of average height and with shoulder-length, light brown hair, and green eyes. Her bangs are cut short and straight across her forehead, unlike the ends of her hair, where it is notably curved. Despite Victoria keeping her hair straightened out for the most part, she fashions a braid out of a single lock on the left side of her head, and on the right, she pins up several locks into a distinctive bun stylized like a rose. She uses a black hairband to contain her braid.
She usually wears a white shirt, with the collar held up high, underneath a loose, teal dress with a turtleneck that reaches just a little past her waist. Her dress has numerous vertical lines running from the turtleneck to the ends of the skirt; however, near the ends of the skirt is an array of five lines running across horizontally. Furthermore, just below Victoria's chest is a teal ribbon wrapped tightly into a bow. Victoria wears a loose, black coat over her dress and shirt. On the right side of her coat, there are nine spots, each with a pair of silver rose buttons. She never closes her coat, however. Over her right shoulder, Victoria almost always carries a white purse with her. The strap has a distinctive rose-like pattern. Also, underneath her dress, she wears black stockings patterned with white lines intersecting each other and red diamonds. On her feet are a pair of white, high-heeled boots with three lines each running vertically from the tips to the boot's nose. Around her boots are white ribbons with a pink rose ornament on each.
She also wears a black beret with a pink rose on the front, and another one the back, furthermore with a white ribbon tied underneath the latter. Additionally with her preference for roses, just over the left side of her white collar, there is a large pin with a pink rose ornament.
Personality Description: Victoria is a very quiet and reserved girl, more often than not having her nose buried in a book as opposed to talking with her fellow peers. This antisocial behaviour stems from a severe case of social anxiety which she combats mostly with relaxing mints she pops almost constantly in public. In private however, or with people she is comfortable with, Victoria has been shown to be the most loving and silly girl one could meet. She cares deeply for those beloved in her heart, and strives to protect them at any cost. She also has a knack for understanding how people are feeling and tries to mke sure people are always comfortable.
Powers: Victoria's main power or ability, is her power of Empathy. Though she is relatively inexperienced with this ability, it has a habit of simply doing things on it's own, usually by giving her constant readings of how people in a room are feeling. The other ability she has, though it remains undiscovered so far is Hypnokenesis as the ability has only reared it's head once in a certain interaction.
Biography: For every life out there that is good, there is a life that is bad. This is the simple equation of the universe, the simple factor of balance. For Victoria, the coin landed on the bad side. She was not a planned child, her parents simply hooked up in a hotel room like stupid kids, and her mother became pregnant. Unable to bear the thought of aborting the child, her parents were quickly married, despite how little each truly wanted the commitment. Even when their daughter was born, though they tried their best, they could never be a real family, and oftentimes were rather terrible parents.
Still life goes on, and Victoria was able to survive babyhood with little to no scars, but things would only detoriorate as she got older. From the time she could walk onwards she remembered listening to her parents fight at night and eventually, she began falling pray to the emotional and physical abuse her parents laid on one another. In time she began to beleive the words they uttered to her, and there was not a day that she did not cry.
Finally though the chance for school came around and with it, victoria found ample opportunities to escape her home life. Between regular school and extra curricular's she was able to shorten her time at home to as much as she could for the time being, and she really did get involved in everything. Academic clubs, Sports clubs, Hobbyist clubs. Somehow she even made it to the top of her class academically and for the first time in her life she was happy.
It was during this rush of activity that she met the second bright spot in her dark world. Derek Crohoore. They both had terrible home lives, her parents tried to be good but just ended up being emotionally and physically abusive, his parents were too caught up in themselves to really be bothered with their children, in each other, they found some sort of comfort.
From that day on the two were almost never apart, Vicky needed Derek as much as the air she breathed, and she wanted to beleive he needed her, but she was so broken.....how could anyone want or need her? It created a bit of a perfectionist complex inside of her, she constantly tried to improve herself, to be what she envisioned as perfect in order to please Derek. As she got older her perfectionism became more deadly. To the point she would not eat for days, or even a week straight just to be physically appealing to her friend. The thought never crossed her mind that this was bad, she just knew that no matter what, she could never, ever lose him, she had to keep him close to her side, he was all she had.
Aside from her growing instability though she began to lead a rather normal childhood. Staying at Derek's house during the weekends, and late into the night during the week. During the week of course she had to spend some time at her house and the time she did was a living hell. She tried to hide the bruises and scars from Derek, but one day she made a simple mistake. She was staying the night at his house and forgot to wear clothes she could just sleep in. He of course 'borrowed' one of his mothers nightgowns for her to wear, but that meant changing out of her clothes.
She would never quite understand why Derek had done it. If he had been coming in to ask about something for supper, if he had just thought she was dressed and was oppening the door, but he came in, and he saw her standing in her underwear, scars bared for the world to see. It seemed like they stood there for eternity Derek's eyes boring into her hideousness, so many different emotions playign across his features. She felt hideous and disgusting beneath that stare, and she felt the tears push out of her eyes and run down her face.
It wasn;t until that moment that she realised she wanted him to think well of him, more than she had previously. She wanted to be pretty and perfect in his eyes, she wanted to be desirable, she wanted him to love her, like she had loved him so silently for all these years. But as she stared at him, watching the disgust and pur hate in his eyes, she felt unworthy.
That night, for the first time in her life she screamed and hit him, told him to get out and that she never wanted to see him again. He only responded by demanding to know who did it to her, who had hurt her so badly. But in that moment she simply shoved him out and climbed out the window to head home. That night she went through the usual routine of abuse and hurt that had become normal for her life before stumbling up to bed numbly.
She didn;t cry that night, not when she was hurt or insulted, not when she laid down and thought about Derek, no, at that moment she was so numb she scarcely knew she existed and fell asleep simply wishing she could die. She fell asleep for a while and when she woke up, she knew something was wrong. It was unbearably hot in the house, as if someone had cranked the heater up past maximum. When she opened her eyes all around her were flames, but rather than have a normal reaction and try to escape, she laid there in her bed, only wishing she had gotten to say goodbye to Derek one last time.
Fate was a funny thing sometimes, for just when she wished to see him most, he appeared like a god. He was yelling at her, trying to get her out of bed. She simply stared at him blankly trying not to cry. She felt such immense hate and anger coming from him in waves, she had always been sensitive to his feelings, but this, this felt so strong, almost as if she was trying to sense it, and she didn;t understand it. If what she was feeling was right, and he was truly so angry at her, if he hated her so much, why did she also feel his worry?
Later that night, when both were safe and the fire was out the police came. Her parents were dead, she was an orphan, her only friend was disgusted with her, but not enough to let her die in a fire, and to top it all off, she had powers she could not comprehend that were begenning to spiral out of control, truly life had hit rock bottom for victoria.
