About

Hi! I'm Counterclockwise, though I'll generally prefer the nicknames Shiori, Mizuki, or Mimi. I'm still settling in and stuff, so I beg your pardon in advance for any mess ups on my part concerning local lore. I tend to write 400-700 words per post depending on my energy levels, and am generally capable of posting at least once a day/every other day, though I prefer to only keep 2-3 threads open at any given time. My most common character archetypes are 'imouto' (little sister) types between the ages of 14-17, though I also occasionally enjoy playing the eccentric professor or the kuudere (cold on the exterior, sweet underneath).

Most of the RP I'll seek to be involved in focuses strongly on character development, especially of other characters. I'll get into how that works when I begin discussing my individual characters, but if you have any plots that you're having trouble finding a catalyst for, I may be able to help! So feel free to approach me about anything. I'll forewarn that I really don't much care for actiony/violent/combat RP and will rarely (if ever) app a character with powers that are directly applicable in those sorts of settings, so I'd like to avoid that if at all possible.

I'm on Eastern time, and generally most active between the hours of 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. That's when I'm most likely to post and/or answer PMs! But now, down to the nitty gritty...

Liliana Zofia Chopin

Character Page

Information

Liliana is 15 years old, and hails from a particularly affluent Polish family with a residence on one of the Manta Carlos islands. She's a reticent, bookish sort with a particular disdain for crowded places and loud people. Although her quiet demeanor and penchant for ignoring most may make her come off as rude or snooty, she doesn't really intend to be either in reality, and just prefers to observe people rather than interact with them.

Liliana skipped a term somewhere along the line, meaning that she is entering Starlight in her Junior year despite her age. She would likely be classed with people aged 16 - 17, particularly in her core subjects (e.g. Math, English). She is studying so that she may eventually pursue a degree in Archaeological Chronomancy, or the application of temporal magic to study the past. This coincides with her personal powers to both manipulate time and explore the dreams and emotions of others.

Liliana would be most likely to get along with gregarious sorts who are willing to tone themselves down for her, or with people who share her inclination toward quieter atmospheres. She may also have hooks with medical staff who are helping to treat her illness (mild cystic fibrosis).

It may bear mention that, in all cases, Liliana prefers familial friendships to romantic relationships.

Plans

Finding a Roomate: May or may not actually happen. As things stand, Liliana isn't even living on campus, but commuting from a local residence. It would take an extremely close friendship to draw her away from her seclusion, but if someone in her age group successfully befriends her, who knows what will happen? She may even start living on campus, but for now that's all up in the air.

Family Matters: Liliana's family visits the area now and then, and her relationship with them is strained to say the least. She is fairly close with her sister, but she has never gotten along very well with her brother, and she resents the fact that her parents never moved to the islands with her. Someone helping her work through her reservations about her family may be a large plot point later on, especially if something tragic were to occur within their midst...

Learning to Use Her Powers: Liliana is very much a neophyte with her ability to manipulate time, and she could use a professor more versed in magic to help teach her. Oh, and if there are any music professors in the house, she could use one of those too! In general, any willing mentor in the fields of magic, history, or music would be well-received.

Involvement in Other Plots: Liliana is extremely interested in having the opportunity to help someone with her powers. Have any of your characters gone through any traumatic experiences that they've yet to resolve? Then Liliana may be able to help by entering their dreams to suss out the issue. Alternately, do they have any moment in time that they would like to relive, or to recall? Then Liliana can take them there. She can't really help them to change the past, though, necessarily.
