Name: Amaya October Ouroboros

Age: 57, though she was born more than five hundred years ago (time-space continuum issues and she's nonhuman so ages differently) She does not tell people her age.

Birthday: Does not celebrate it, does not tell people the day, but it's November 1st

Gender: Female

Sexual Orientation: Bi, but she's also afraid of men to a certain extent and thinks she's a full lesbian

Category: Groundskeeper, occasional teacher's aide, on-campus medical patient, can be considered a villain due to her past

Appearance Description:

(person used is Kelly Hu's character from the movie "The Librarian: Quest for the Spear")

Example One:

Example Two:

She has a tattoo of a scorpion raising its tail, as if ready to attack, forming a crescent moon pattern on the outside of her lower left leg, a few inches above the ankle.

Personality Description: If you're on her good side, she still probably doesn't like you very much, but she'll be civil and semi-social, though she may still be a bit harsh with her words every now and again. She can basically pass for a normal person. If you're on her bad side, angry, full of hate and spite, cruel, straight to the point. Amaya used to kill people for a living and she absolutely loved doing it. She was raised in a society of nymphos and sadists who spent their time using humans as toys before viciously murdering them. She's watched members of her family and her tribe get tortured and killed by angry mobs, she's seen her father mercilessly beat those same people she lived with into unconsciousness, she knew of the affair her mother was having with the man who would eventually kill her father, she's lived for years knowing that the people she grew up with probably killed her mother and the rest of her family, and one day she found herself ejected from her own time and thrust more than five hundred years into the future, where her potential lifespan was more than halved and she lost almost all her magic. Her life's philosophy has been based around the idea of: "No loyalties, no weaknesses. These get you killed. Think only of yourself and your goals." Things like that have an effect on a person, no matter how good or bad they are. She doesn't like to get close to people, and she's more than happy rip a person to shreds physically and/or emotionally if she thinks she has a high ratio of success and considers herself justified. She'd rather beat or break something or somebody she develops affection for rather than keep it around to become a liability.

Also: while some "modern" things still confuse her, after five year she is starting to get the hang on some "modern" things. Some of her favorite "modern" things are CD's, jelly beans, Powerade, and anime plushies. (She may be a Faerie hellbent on torturing people in horrible and inhumane ways before killing them, but she IS still a girl.) She does find manga amusing, but she does not, however, like TV, video games, or movies, for those wondering about that.

Likes: Women, dark colors, books, harming others, nighttime, the forest, kittens, bats, spiders, scorpions, snakes, sexual imagery, physical teasing, being tied up or tying up other people

Dislikes: bright colors, computers, overly public displays of affection, medical officials, psychology, people trying to flirt with her, holidays, birthdays, parties and celebrations, men with white hair, people with a large number or tattoos or piercings, people giving her orders, windy days (the streaks in her hair are sensitive and start bumping into all kinds of things and doing something like a ponytail would HURT), people who touch her hair streaks (antennae) or wings (it's like groping her chest or butt; it's really offensive to a Dark Fae to even ask to do that)

Fears: men (to a small extent), dogs/wolves, large groups of people, the ocean, being helpless, admitting she's afraid of something

(yes, she likes fantasizing about being tied up but is afraid of being helpless. It's a guilty pleasure she hasn't told anybody about)

Weaknesses: She is a Dark Faerie, so silver burns her and, in some cases, binds her. Iron and steel can do something similar, but to a much lesser extent. Salt can cause a mild irritation, depending on how much of it there is and how it's administered. For example, the ocean would sting her a bit, and if it was flung at her and hit her skin it would probably leave red marks. She can ingest it with food perfectly fine, though too much would make her stomach a bit upset. Although she's had a bit of "tough love" training, she can randomly OCD, like most fairies, becoming obsessed with her appearance, or with counting, like the number of jelly beans in a jar or the number of stuffed animals in a toy claw machine, causing her to have to stop and watch herself in the mirror or having to stop and count whatever made her OCD before she can focus on anything else. Because she is a faerie, Amaya has a very difficult time lying, though she can omit and tell things that are intended to be misinterpreted with ease to make up for her lack of ability to lie. Also, because of an incident in her history, Amaya can't use a lot of magic, and as such she has a weak defense against magical influences like charms or amulets.

Also, please note: even though the four streaks in her hair and, when in her Dark Faerie form, the wings she always has despite the style she displays are erogenous zones, they aren't really weaknesses unless she's just about immobilized first. Stroking, sucking, pinching, blowing, or just playing with her wings or hair is basically like forcing yourself on her, and Amaya can be a very vicious and very violent woman. After all, five years ago (to her) she killed people for a living.

Another thing to be noted is that because her soul was ripped apart what to her was five years ago and although she made a recovery, it still left her with weaknesses where she can still have "episodes". A mangled soul is a terrible thing that leaves permanent effects. Some of the side effects that will pop up randomly are shortness of breath, dizzy spells, short faints, occasional spikes of pain where the holes in her soul had been, or getting sick a little easier than most mystical creatures.

Skills / Talents: Amaya can read, speak, and write in four different languages- Celtic, Chinese, Latin, German- a skill from five hundred years ago, and she has, for the most part, learned how to read, write, and speak English. She used to have a gift for tongues and was fluent in more than twenty languages, but an accident that brought her to the present day took out her memories of those languages. She's also exceptional at archery and knows a bit of unarmed combat, as she used to travel with a pack of murderers and assassins known as the Crescent Scorpion after her childhood with her tribe of sadistic Dark Faeries.

Things she likes to keep on her person as much as she can:
Two pocket tazers, two changes of batteries, a flashlight with spare batteries, a first-aid kit, two small cans of aerosol and a couple lighters, two sets of fingerless gloves, a set of regular gloves, a can of pepper spray, two rolls of duct tape, a coil of rope, a plain black hooded windbreaker, mirrored sunglasses, two bottles of water, a box of granola bars, two or three books, two composition notebooks and three pens in black, red, and purple, a pocket knife, a pocket screwdriver with a couple different heads, and a black backpack she keeps it in and can toss carry over her shoulder.

Powers: Dark Faerie (separated to try and make it easier to read)

A Dark Faerie hits a certain age and stops aging, and while most are immortal/live for an average of five hundred years, this is mostly due to magic, but since Amaya's magic has been crippled, while she stopped physically aging already, her lifespan has dropped from a potential five hundred years to, at most, two hundred years. The medical experts predict her personal lifespan is closer to one hundred and fifty years total, give or take a few either way. She's also lost almost all her magic, so what little she has left is mostly her natural abilities, which is basically making a few cosmetic changes to herself and a couple of small physical attribute boosts in her Dark Fae form.

In her Dark Fae form, she grows wings from her shoulders, which often tears her shirt, and her eyes become slitted like a cat's and she can see in the dark as well as ghosts and spirits. Her hearing becomes a little sharper, and she can also hear ghosts and spirits. Her hair also gets her Nighttime Effect (see below) and she becomes a little faster, a little stronger, and a little more flexible/agile than she already is. She can also activate her Dark Fae Cosmetic/Physical Changes.

Physical Mind-Touch: Amaya can hear the thoughts of anybody whose bare skin is touching her bare skin, but only one person at a time. This is her only ability that actually needs magic, although not much, and while she is in complete control of this, so she can turn it on or off or choose whether or not to listen in, the magic required for this is about the equivalent of the energy a person needs to click their tongue. She can only listen in for up to ten minutes in a twelve-hour period before it becomes a strain on her magic.

Talons: Her fingers can turn black and shiny, like a bird's talons, making them as sharp as knives and as hard as reinforced steel, making them a deadly weapon. It takes about three seconds to change between regular fingers and her talons, and she can switch them at will. This is a natural ability that does not require magic but rather has to do with exoskeletons.

Wing Change: Since Amaya would need magic to fly, her wings are pretty much just an erogenous zone, used for sexual pleasure. She can freely change their design to one of three at her discretion, the three designs being a black-and-purple butterfly wing design, black feathered angel's wings, or black leathery bat's wings. The reason they can be changed is to make herself more sexually appealing to individual people, since different people have different tastes, but both her wings must be the same type, such as both Angel Style or both Butterfly Style. She can't have one Bat Style and one Angel style wing. It takes about thirty seconds to change wing styles, can be somewhat painful, and is a natural ability that does not require magic.

Nighttime Effect: Exclusively at night when in her human form from dusk to dawn, Amaya's four white streaks in her hair turn red (front right), green (back right), blue (back left), and purple (front left). This also happens in her Dark Faerie form. She has no control over this. She is also unable to dye her hair, as the colors will not take. This is a natural ability and has no real purpose. These four strands are sort of like her antennae, or like a cat's whiskers, so they're very sensitive, and, like her wings, and an erogenous zone, used for sexual pleasure.

History -NSFW

Father: Asmodeous Ouroboros (murdered)
Mother: ??? (deceased, unknown fate)
Sibling: Any siblings she may have once had are dead.

The history of Dark Fae is a long one, but it's not a happy one. At least, not for most people. Some of the incidents between Dark Faeries and humankind were featured in various myths and legends, or even children's stories. Lure children into the forests and trapping them inside trees, kidnap babies from their cradles and leaving tricksters in their place, then return the children years later as Changelings, entrance people into seeking them out on a dark night and then steal the soul from their body, appear from "nowhere" when a young woman all on her own makes the mistake of doing something like plucking a flower, and then seduce her, to send her home pregnant, these are some of the nice things they do. Sometimes tricksters, sometimes something much more vicious, Dark Faeries and humans do not play well together.

Amaya comes from a family of Dark Fae who were decidedly much more malevolent. They were the kind to lure the innocent away from warm fires n a dark night, to come play, dancing half-naked or with even less clothing through the woods. Giggling and sweating was often involved. Then, after the Dark Fae had gotten what he or she wanted, the victim died in immense pain as the Dark Fae transformed and ripped them limb from limb, leaving them in no less than seven separate pieces, often as many as thirteen pieces. They loved to gag their victims and bind them to the trees and torture them for hours before finally killing their victims. Clawing their victim's skin or stabbing them with their black hooked fingers, poisoning, drowning, leaving them bound and gagged somewhere and then either calling animals or doing something such as spreading wild honey all over their victim's naked body, and then finding a good vantage point to watch as animals like bears, wild crows, or other animals would come and eat their poor victim alive. One of the Ourouboros family's greatest amusements was seeing how many times they could cut a person before they bled to death, or arranging things so that a person was stung by a scorpion or bit by a snake, and the Dark Fae would sit there and watch their victim die, sometimes even doing things to increase their pain and suffering. On the night of the full moon, the Dark Fae would usually capture, cook, and eat a human. Their greatest amusement came from drugging a victim and then attempting to scare them to death, with examples including either by flying around in a pack and throwing a human between them in a midair game of catch, or by trapping a claustrophobic in a small space and watching them suffer. There were many more ways they could scare a person.

In short, the Dark Fae were sadists and nymphos, reveling in a legacy of cruelty, sex, torture, and murder. They rarely left their victims alive, but those they did were often driven insane or mentally damaged for the rest of their short lives. Humans were the playthings of Dark Fae, viewed as nothing more than toys to be thrown away when their usefulness was done.

Amaya October Ouroboros was born three hours after midnight, on November first, born in the festival night of Samhain, festival that today's Halloween originated from and the holy night of the Dark Faeries, the night when the world is closest to the spirit realm, when they went around in disguises, asking for treats, looking for treats left on people's doorsteps, and those who forgot or didn't leave out treats for them often had horrendous "tricks" played on them. Some of these poor forgetfuls did not survive the night and were taken away for rituals and witchcraft that required the use of human sacrifice. Amaya was born to a poor faerie girl who had fallen victim to the tricks and the whims of a stronger Dark Faerie, one who was not content with merely tricking humans but desired dominance over other Dark Faeries as well. On the night of her birth, there was a nearby farm family that forgot to leave something out for the faeries and the spirits that night. Their oldest daughter was spirited away not a week after, lured away by a mysterious handsome gentleman. Her family found what was left of her three days later. In the meanwhile, Amaya's first baby toy was a handmade rattle made from a mixture of human skin, hair, and bone, and her baby blanket was a torn and bloodstained dress.

As she was growing up, Amaya was taught to beware of humans, but also taught how to be cruel to them. When she was five, one of her cousins was captured by humans in the forest after Amaya's cousin had lured away and killed one of the young village boys, and a mob of angry villagers had formed with a professional faerie hunter as their leader, tracking down Amaya's cousin and binding her over the site where she had killed the young village. Amaya, nearby, was forced to watch with her mother's hand over her mouth to keep her quiet and being restrained in her mother's arms as she was forced to watch the villagers take their vengeance on her cousin, torturing her in much the same way as the victim had been, but bound and pierced repeatedly with silver in the process. Amaya and her mother were hiding in their tree, watching for three hours as their cousin screamed and slowly died at the hands of the angry villagers before a creature unlike anything Amaya had ever seen before burst through the trees behind her tortured cousin and removed the Dark Faerie's head with one merciful stroke before starting on the villagers, killing the faerie hunter and several others while the others ran in fear. It was a bloodbath.

This savior's name was introduced as Darkness. He was an old acquaintance of Amaya's father, Asmodeous, who had crippled Amaya's grandmother years ago, which had led to her grandmother being caught by humans and eventually beheaded. This move had led to Asmodeous's rise to power within the Dark Faerie community, and while Asmodeous and Darkness weren't friends, they were allies with an uneasy truth between them. He had been looking for Asmodeous's traveling family for about three months, although Amaya never found out why.

Darkness wound up travelling with Amaya and their small tribe of Dark Fae throughout Europe for the next few years. From him, Amaya learned the art of combat weaponry and about Darkness's set of beliefs, or perhaps it could be called a religion. For every kill that Darkness made, he either pierced or tattooed his body or modified it in some small way as a sign of respect for the life he had taken. He kept each Penance Marking, as he called them, on his body for as long as the person had been alive, or so he claimed. Sometimes, he wore them for even longer. Amaya became enthralled with this idea and started leaning the rules from him. She also found out she was exceptionally talented at archery, and wasn't horrible while using weapons that one could swing and attack with, like a long chain with a spike at the end. She also learned how to dual-wield short bladed weapons, like short swords, although because she was a Dark Faerie, metal weapons could be extremely painful to her as well if she didn't take special precautions. For the most part, she relied on archery, faerie magic, and physical hand-to-hand combat.

However, though she learned a lot from Darkness over the eight years he traveled with her father's faerie tribe, she also witnessed his presence tearing the tribe apart. Her mother, bound to her father for nearly six years because of an undesired pregnancy that Asmodeous had tricked her into, fell for Darkness and the two of them began an affair behind Asmodeous's back. Darkness's presence seemed to increase her father's desire for control, causing him to become more violent and cruel. Soon, other Dark Faeries began to leave the tribe, while others who had experienced violence from him were too scared. Several of the Dark Fae had stopped being about fun and had started being more cruel, torturing humans in more and more inhumane ways, to the point where it was just sadism for sadism's sake. Some Fae were even starting to attack each other over petty little things that never mattered before. Things came to an escalation when Asmodeous had been in a particularly foul mood. He had beaten one of the few remaining female Dark Faeries into unconsciousness and had just maimed her mate, and things were about to escalate when Darkness showed up and intervened. He and Asmodeous fought, and Darkness wound up killing Amaya's father. Before the rest of the Dark Fae had time to realize that Asmodeous was dead, he had grabbed Amaya, tossing her over his shoulder, and he ran from the tribe. When Amaya asked about her mother later, he told her that she wouldn't make it out alive, and she would be the one to bear the tribe's wrath for the cruelty that Asmodeous had committed. A couple days later, he showed her a tattoo on his shoulder of a scorpion in the shape of a crescent moon, and put a tattoo just like it on Amaya's lower left leg. He told her they were as close to family as she would ever have anymore. He also warned her of one rule of their family that she would have to obey, and those words stick with her even to this day:

"In the Crescent Scorpions, there is no loyalty and no such thing as friendship. There is only ourselves, and how we are able to use other people to meet our goals. Forget that, and your death will be worse than the rest of your family's."

The furthest history can track Amaya Ouroboros is the moment her father died and Darkness took her away from her tribe. From there on, in history, she completely disappears. From there of, she took on a new name and title, Ragnarok the Death Witch, and began her life as a professional assassin for hire, alongside Darkness. Her name, chosen by Darkness, wasn't particularly designed to be clever as it was to get the point across to people what she was out to do: kill people, and create a profitable life for herself. Seven years after she began her travels with Darkness, a third member joined their faction of the Crescent Scorpions: Ishiki, a female neko, and it was then that Amaya discovered she loved women, not men. Within a month, while Amaya respected Darkness, it soon became clear there was only one person she truly cared for, and who truly cared for her: Ishiki, the cat-girl, and Amaya, the Dark Faerie, became lovers every night and the deadliest possible combination in any group of Crescent Scorpions.

Another ten years saw the final addition to the Crescent Scorpions, who called herself Scorpion, and thus began the greatest era of the Crescent Scorpions. The types of things Amaya did for fun were not things that should ever be repeated even behind closed doors, and her companions were no better. For twenty-five years the four of them traveled under the leadership of Darkness, aiming for an end goal Amaya was never certain of, and when the time finally came, Amaya never knew what happened. She remembered immense and extreme pain, and then suddenly she found herself feeling extremely cold, but warming up, and feeling a type of pain she had never felt before.

The first thing she saw after the pain had faded enough to open her eyes was a bar of light and a strange kind of roof she had never seen before. People wearing strange clothes and speaking in languages she had never heard before came and started examining her and her nearly naked body, which was on some sort of rectangular object she had never felt before, though she had to be restrained and strapped down after the first one touched her. It took them several hours, but finally they found somebody who spoke a language she could understand, though not well, and she learned she had been found frozen in ice, her body torn to shreds and gored through in several places, and it had been nothing short of a medical miracle, but she had made a full recovery with no major lasting side effects, except one: almost all her magical power was gone. Her spiritual core that generated her magic had literally been torn apart by an unknown blast ad some creature or another had ravaged the remains to steal the part of her that made her magic. She still had her Dark Faerie form and natural abilities, but her life span had been reduced, and if she tried to use a lot of magic again, it would very likely reduce her lifespan even further than it already had been. While her soul had effectively healed itself, as well as her body, the fact remained she was more than five hundreds years into her future, found frozen in a block of ice in a cave miles from where she last remembered being, and with major gaps in her memory. Five hundred years meant everybody she once knew, including her spiritual wife, Ishiki, would be long dead. Except one.

Darkness.

Darkness was an Immortal, or so he had always claimed. Certainly, she had seen his method of reviving. It seemed impossible to believe a man like that would be dead, even after more than five hundred years. However, since there were no records of whatever happened to her and her group, there was no way to find out where a man like that would be. Even if there was, Amaya was not entirely certain meeting him again would be a wise choice.

Amaya woke up five years ago on the Manta Carlos Islands. She was smart enough to give the name she had originally been given, her real name, Amaya October Ouroboros, although she couldn't hide the Crescent Scorpion tattoo from her years as a traveling murderer, just the specific details of it. However, since that was under an assumed name, while the doctors, island security, and some of the teachers have been informed about the tattoo that marks her as a former assassin, it is not realized she was Ragnarok, a Crescent Scorpion master murderer who was once semi-famous over five centuries ago in the supernatural underworld for the sadist torture and murder of six hundred and fifty-seven known kills, and presumably many that weren't known, over the course of twenty-five years. If divided out, it's about twenty-seven kills a year.

The decision was made to keep her on the school staff as a "special case" because her magic was essentially almost all gone. While Amaya was told that she was going to be working for and living on the college campus because of her "condition" of her once-mangled soul in order to "keep an eye out for potential health issues" with a strict ban enforced that says she cannot leave campus grounds, the idea behind that was more in mind that the campus would become a prison so as to watch over her and eliminate her if she attempts to go back to a life of murder. Her dorm was placed on the ground floor near the Residential Floor Advisor's office and nearest the entrance, but no name plaque is on the door because some members of staff and leery of Amaya interacting with the student body given her known history as an unknown assassin. Previously, she has been the night-time groundskeeper for the academy so as to keep her away from the student body due to her checkered past.

Amaya is required to visit the medical offices once every four months to watch for any change in her inability to use magic and for the last few months she has been locked in her room after she fell out of a tree and broke her leg during a fainting spell caused by her "condition". Because she has been kept busy mostly at night, she has not actually met any of the current students and knows very few members of staff. However, because of her accident, now that she is recovered she has been switched to working during the daytime hours instead, starting within a couple of weeks. The argument for this among the school staff who do know about her was that they could not keep her isolated forever and that since Amaya had come to the school her behavior did not pose (much) danger to the students- there have been a couple incidents where she used her homemade flamethrower, the aerosol can and the lighter, to chase off wild animals or to get rid of some weeds growing through the pavement- and thus it has been nominated that she will take a more active role around the school where needed.

(Yes she knows about Pierce, my other "old" person with a Crescent Scorpion tattoo, but has not met him and doesn't know the name, so there's no connection there. She does not know about Lorelei yet, and I'm beginning to think of the Crescent Scorpion as my character brand of sorts)
