Appearance/description:
Avian doesn’t have much of a presence so appearances have always seemed trivial to her. She appears usually timid with half her face covered by her long, white hair that reaches her waist. Only one of her eyes is visible but she can testify that both of her eyes are the same color: a cerulean blue. Her height is an average 5’6†and has been told by many that she’s quite thin. While Avian is skinny, she’s in no risk of starving herself and in fact will pig out on occasion. Her wrists are knobby and fingers slender with slightly tanned skin. As for what she normally wears, Avian prefers breezy clothes that are good for the beach, even if she isn’t going to the beach that day (although she will try to go every day). She usually wears sun dresses and broom skirts with flip flops or sandals. To complete her look, Avian always wears a floppy straw beach hat, and only takes it off for classes.
Personality:
As stated before, Avian doesn’t have much of a presence. She chooses not to. At whatever cost, she’ll try to stay at the back of the room or in the corner, hoping nobody will engage her in conversation. To those who don’t know her, Ms. Donner is very shy, withdrawn, and will only speak in simple, fragmented sentences. Because of her shyness, she won’t even stand up to herself, let alone others. Instead, she’ll take everything that hits her and endure it, waiting for it to stop. If a situation is truly dire, she may snap but only rarely. Other than that, she prefers solitude and quiet. However, if one tries hard enough to be her friend, they can get past the little timid Avian and learn a much more open and opinionated Avian. And that more open Avian is willing to follow you anywhere, drag you down to the beach with her, and even express her opinions on others around you (aka: gossip).
Weaknesses: Timid nature, can’t stand up for herself, not very strong, can’t take a hit, inability to control her powers
Strengths: Mentally strong enough to not mind being alone, agile and quick, sneaky and usually never noticed
Habits/Hobbies: Reading, going to the beach, drawing
Skills/Talents: With all her exposure to birds, Avian can draw them fairly well
Powers:
• Being identified as friendly by other birds
o Any species of bird identifies her as a friend and will usually approach
o If anyone is with Avian, birds will be more wary to approach or may not approach at all
• Bird summoning: as long as the bird being summoned has clear sight of Avian and her targets, they will come, usually in numbers to attack the target
o Not much is known about her summoning abilities as she’s only used it once and even if she were to use it again, she might end up summoning anything chickadees to eagles simply because she doesn’t know how to control it
o So far, the trigger to her summoning appears to be rage but she hopes to find a more controllable trigger (I plan on adding limitations to the summoning once she learns how to control it)

Avian always believed she received the short end of the stick when it came to powers. Heck, even her parents weren’t that worried about it when they first discovered her ability. It appeared she had the ability to be identified as a friend by birds. She was always being flocked by pigeons at the park and surrounded by sparrows in the backyard. Her parents even started calling her Mother Goose. Because of her popularity with birds, many kids at her school made fun of her, using the Mother Goose nickname to mock her. This led her to be the timid girl she is today. Avian grew up believing her powers were the worst anyone could ever have. They were so lame, nobody even seemed to worry about them, unlike more powerful abilities! When she was fifteen, she proved her parents wrong about her powers. She wasn’t just able to fit in with birds, she could control them. When a group of boys pushed her too far and even began stepping on some of her sparrows, Avian lost it, and summoned a murder of crows on them! The boys ran off, the sea of crows chasing after them, pecking and scratching. Her parents, now worried about her lack of control, decided to send her to Starlight Academy, in hopes she could learn to control her powers.
Despite Avian being a student at Starlight for a year, she still hasn’t learned to control her powers. The only way she knows to prevent such a thing from happening again is through remaining calm. This is why she prefers solitude. That way, she can avoid any situations where she might be driven to summon birds against others. The first time it was crows, but Avian worries it may escalate to geese, hawks, gulls, or vultures!

Once accepted, if at all, could I please have a listing of birds or even bird species that live on the island (Don’t want to be summoning ostriches if there are none, haha)?
