Appearance + + +

  • Tamara's current body stands at a height of 5'7 with a slender build and not enough muscles and fat to give her a healthy looking shape. Not to mention the fact that she seems a little pale most of the time. Her face seems to match appropriately with her body age except for her dulled brown eyes that seem rather lifeless. Her long dirty blonde hair goes as far down to her knees are often kept in braided twin tails. The top of her head is always a mess due to the uneven trim.

Tamara always has some sort of tape over her mouth with a red "x" mark over it. Upon closer inspection, the "x" seems to be written with rune symbols shaped into the letter. She is almost never seen without it but in times she is found without the tape, the same runic marking is seen over her mouth, on her lips. She dresses very casually, oftentimes wearing stylish top, a skirt and stockings to match. She is usually found wearing roller blades/skates, or sneakers with retractable wheels. (Or the ones with wheels at the heel.) She carries around a bag with her and inside is the one thing she never forgets to bring: a tablet she could simply type her words into for communication. On some occasions, she carries a whiteboard.

For the person she possesses, assuming they are aware, she appears as her original incarnation. Tamara looks no older than 16, standing at a height of approximately 5'5", with sharp golden eyes, lined with black ink, an olive skin tone, and long brown chestnut brown hair that is braided to the side. She is wearing some sort of garb that is mostly violets to blues, adorned with gold cloth and golden jewelry.

UPDATE: Lately, she hasn't worn the tape she has over her mouth.

Personality + + +

  • Silent and mysterious: Tamara is a character who never speaks, which is why she is often said to be mysterious. If that's what can be said about a librarian who is fond of dressing more like a high school student than anything. While she does have bits of being the creepy character, Tamara is approachable and wise. Having lived for over thousands of years, she is willing to console people and give wise hermit-sort of advice. While she often acts mature, it is not uncharacteristic of her to act childish at some instances. She has a very wide sense of humor and she can make jokes of almost any kind if she wanted. It's not unlike her to tease other people too. But when needed, she tries her best to reach out to people around her in subtle ways.

She openly introduces herself as "Tamara Nagi" but she will dodge the age question only because she's already lost count. She would give an estimate that she's "older than Cleopatra" but never an exact number. She's not completely secretive as she is open to talk about her likes, dislikes and the things that make her tick (in fact, she is rather forward about that last one).

Tamara still has impulses from her old life as a power-hungry "revolutionary" of sorts. She still sometimes looks at people and thinks about wanting to take over their bodies but she has almost always dismissed the thought. When given the opportunity, she may actually take advantage and manipulate others but she has not done so as of late.

She likes new things. And not just "new" for the reason of being simply there but the concept of innovations itself. It's easy to say that humans as a civilization fascinate her. She appreciates nature very much and finds peace when she is in tune with her environment. It often upsets her when people mishandle plants and animals. She seems to have a way with animals around her (at one point in her life, she had been a veterinarian). She dislikes it when she has her asthma attacks, of course, blaming the poorly conditioned body she ended up with. Despite being over two thousand years old and having been in the brink of death more than once, one of her greatest fears is dying and disappearing forever.

Though knowledgeable in many fields, she admits being out of practice with most of it except for medicine which was what she had been practicing in her previous incarnation. She finds time to study during her free hours or whenever she doesn't need to focus on anything. She would love to share her knowledge and tutor anyone who would ask her. Additionally, she does not like people belittling her knowledge and ability simply because of appearances and will be very pushy about her stand on that matter.

Powers + + +

  • Ancient Knowledge (Main) — Tamara is a mage-priestess from an ancient civilization and she learned magic through now-ancient manuscripts. The runes allow her to draw magic from the earth and because she was a priestess, her link was very strong. Her knowledge is vast and she could be a terrifyingly powerful mage. But while she has this knowledge, her magic potential is very reliant on the potential of the body she possesses. The most basic of magic she can use is making talismans with minor runic spells. These talismans include something to enable telepathy for her to communicate with the mind, and for healing and preservation for her body. She can activate it by placing it over her lips and whispering the inscription. Her training has also allowed her to be able to sense disturbances in the air in dead silence.

Immortal Soul (Passive) — Tamara has an immortal soul created through a sacrificial ritual she did in her first incarnation.

    a) Parasitism : While Tamara's soul is immortal, her body is not. She lives as a parasitic soul by latching onto bodies and using them as her own. While she is capable of possessing any body she encounters, she can only go for the dying people and those who've fallen into comas so that she has full control. If it happens that she would share a body with another soul, she may only come off as a split-personality of sorts, unless she is ultimately overpowered.

    b) Adaptivity : Tamara can make use of her rune magic but she can also adapt the abilities of the body she takes over. Although, she needs to learn it from scratch and train her herself with the same limitations the body has.

    c) Transmigration : Tamara can readily move into bodies without problems to keep herself alive. She chooses to remain in a body for at least a few days up to months but she can transfer after 24 hours.

    d) Preservation : She is only limited in a vessel to 6 months up to 5 years at maximum depending on the state of the body. Bodies of the dead are more likely to wither quickly. On the other hand, those stolen from the living can last as long as she sustains it normally.

    e) Limitation Curse : Tamara is bound by a spell cast by Tucker Watanabe that she is unable to transfer to bodies with high magic potential. Because of this, Tamara is forced to transfer to bodies that have little or no mana supply, making her weak (magically) and almost defenseless. Luckily Tucker provides her with some talismans for her use.

Mortality — While Tamara's soul is immortal, Tamara is not completely indestructible. If her body is damaged enough, or if her body withers and she is unable to find a new container, it is possible that her soul will disappear forever. Theoretically, she can become a wandering ghost. Theoretically.

Biography + + +

  • Tamara has lived for over hundreds of years that her life can be traced into the times of the Maya. Born to a family in service to the royalty of her city of birth, her family was praised as the city's seers and she was hailed as a priestess — but she became corrupted by the magic and went power hungry. Eventually stumbling upon old runes from an earlier civilization, she found the secret to Eternal Life. Promising this to their King, she managed to orchestrate an arrangement for the ritual through the royal family. In truth, she only manipulated the people of this small but rich city into doing her will and granting her soul the Eternity she sought for, in exchange for the life of hundreds.

For centuries, she lived on in search for more power, finding the most powerful of wizards to take control of — but failing during the most critical of times because she is unable to kill the true owners of the vessels. She's watched victories and defeat in wars and catastrophe, she became part of the bloodshed and suffering, almost dying in the war, hunger, famine and tragedy. She soon found out her actions granted her not only Eternal Life, but an endless Hell as she repeatedly suffered hunger, pain, and humanity at its worst. She's watched the many times kingdoms and civilizations would crumble to dust.

At one point, she was taken under wing of an old mage (the one that she would later address as "Father") that went by the name of Rafael Ishihara, and guided her away from her old life, leading her to find a renewed perspective. Centuries pass, she found refuge in uncharted islands, choosing to continue her endless suffering with simple lives instead of the grandiose choices she made in the past. She became a caregiver, teacher, a miner, a tailor, a lawyer, a shop owner, a doctor and a soldier and many other things at least once in her life.

Her previous life was lived long and peaceful as an aging nurse in an old hospital before finding the dying girl who was to become her current body. Her guardian and mentor (who now goes by the name Tucker Watanabe) lead her towards Manta Carlos Islands.
