build;; He’s a dainty little thing, no doubt. His limbs, face, and all other features are almost pixie like or elvish in appearance. He’s still masculine, but there’s a sense of physical childishness around him.
hair;; Hair? Psh. The boy’s snow white hair is actually just a mass of shaped molten wax that hardly ever drips. It holds the shape of the fluffy faux-hawk he had found to enjoy, or just gently smoothed down. The most distinguishing feature about this is that a white candle sticks out straight from the center of it, the flame never dying. It’s still as easy to style and as soft to the touch as well kept human hair.
eyes;; His eyes are a bright banana yellow with flecks of some orange, similar to the flame that burns brightly on top of his head.

-CANDLE: Well… Duh. His candle’s an important part of him, and is usually a good indicator for his health.
-FRECKLES: A few dark brown freckles are peppered across the bridge of his nose and cheek.
-CAN FADE IN AND OUT OF APPEARANCE: He is a spirit made visible after all. On occasion he drifts in and out of sight, though this usually is just a defense mechanism for when he’s scared.

-NORMAL: Typical to kids his age, the boy just wears a t shirt, jeans, skater shoes and a hat of some sort to cover up his hair when he doesn’t want it to drip. He’ll also wear a baggy hoodie that’s a little too big for him.
-SLEEP: Just a shirt and shorts
-TRADITIONAL: Before he came to the school, his ghostly attire was just a satin white chiton without shoes to represent his ethereal status. Now it just looks funny.

Ever since he had dealt with his first human he had been immersed in its culture, and it shows. He’s fascinated by some popular culture, including video games, comic books, musicals, and food. God does he love food. He’s moderately social with others and likes to talk… Though usually keeps his mouth shut, as he is hardly just teaching himself English. He speaks Spanish as his first language and is struggling to merge with the majority of the school. Due to this language barrier he has also taken solace in being alone. When not trying to communicate with others he’s usually found meditating, playing with animals or doing yoga to keep his inner peace and stress levels from rising. In saying this he can be occasionally short fused (heh) with people who are downright mean. Sure, he’s used to unpleasant people he has worked with, but he can’t help but to get a bit over sensitive from time to time. Like the candle he holds he can get a little fiery, revved up, and willing to go the distance to defend his cause. Even if he’s a little too much of a wimp to actually do anything.
In general, most of the negative traits that have spawned from him are due to his little comprehension in knowing how to deal with so many new situations. He’s trying to find ways to prevent himself from losing touch of who he is by the activities mentioned before. He doesn’t mean harm, but he does stand his ground. Also, that “I see dead people†thing can get kind of creepy, too…
In general, the boy is genuinely compassionate about others that are willing to talk with them. He has an aspiration to help people and make peace, but because of his frustration in the lack of experience with real live people he gets frustrated rather quickly and can become hot headed. He’s a bit ominous on occasions but only because he can see what most can’t… And that’s enough to make someone a little bit creepy.

As a guide for the dead, naturally the boy can see and talk to it. He’s not so very alive himself, so his image flickers and he can travel through solid substances. He’s got a strong sixth sense and knows when someone is at the brink of death as a sensation overrides him to rush to their aid. After all, he’s supposed to be there once they make their journey to the other side.
The candle upon his head also serves as a light, and, even as he accidentally disappears from sight, is able to be seen by both the dead and the living. It’s crucial that it never goes out, as… Well, hopefully one will never find out.

However most weapons against the supernatural, such as salt, incantations, and above all holy water can lead to his weakening and perhaps banishment from existence, whether alive, dead, or in between. Before getting onto him, there’s some back story behind who he is exactly. In the spirit world that’s directly linked to this one, there are two types of Will of the Wisps, creations of death itself to do its bidding. There’s the kind that has all the fun in leading travelers astray towards their deaths, and then there’s the kind that has to deal with the poor unfortunate soul that met their untimely demise. From here these types of Will-O-Wisps make these ghosts’ eternal life on earth as best as they can, or otherwise attempt to aid them in getting to the true afterlife by completing their purpose, whether that is for good or bad. But they don’t get involved directly in anything, no. They just merely light the way, is all.
Now, this is where he comes in.
The little candle headed boy from the time he could walk up until very recently has performed the latter task. At birth, he was assigned not to be the mischief maker but the beacon for the deceased. He may be young, but he had mastered his trade well. Unlike other spirits his age he had came to feel as if his job was an enjoyment rather than a lowly chore for the ‘true’ will-o-wisps. He had always tried to make friends with the spirits he had to guide, and learned human culture from them as well, both from the country he was bound to and the world around him... Language not included.
As time grew on it was clear to his omnipresent creator that the young spirit was capable of expanding his horizons beyond the rainforests of Costa Rica. In a vision, he was presented with a greater task- to directly merge with the living. Now, previously, he had sheltered one or two souls at a time. But now he was to go live amongst humans as if he were a part of them himself. He could do this, right?
As much of a reward it was for him it served as a great challenge. Fortunately however he could choose his relocation destination. From word of mouth he learned of Starlight Academy, where he could at least blend in better. Besides, no supernatural and deceased energy came more from any other place that he knew of. He gave himself an actual name, brushed up on current popular culture, and headed out all on his own to a world brand new to him.
Just how unprepared he was would truly unfold.
