Appearance Description: Trini is an athletic individual, being very much into physical activity when she's not studying for her upcoming major or relaxing in the sun, she has a toned physique focused primarily on her upper body and her legs, something that she was able to obtain from running and training with her father. Although she isn't that intimidating standing at a petite 5'5'' and weighing in at 142 lbs, she doesn't let that stop her from expressing herself and what she's after. Her overall body type is hourglass in shape, her hips and bust size being more profound than that of her waist, although it's a bit difficult to tell when she's wearing her everyday clothes or school uniform because she prefers not to wear revealing outfits or outfits that accentuate her form. Tan skinned and dark haired, Trini considers herself to be a rather attractive individual. She takes pride in the ovular shape of her face as well as the large rounded curve of her copper colored eyes and the fullness of her eyelashes. Her nose isn't anything special, a little turned up at the tip, but nothing too eye catching or distinguishing.
As mentioned before, Trini has dark hair that's more of a dark brown than it is black. Although she prefers to wear it down in a short bob that falls mid-neck, she will at times pull it back to a makeshift ponytail to keep the hair out of her eyes when she's working out or studying. Trini's jaguar form is less than average, golden brown in color with black spots dabbling her coat, she has a long tail and large strong paws with the usual razor sharp retractable claws; the only specialty in her coloring being the darker shade of her tail compared to the rest of her body. Although she is able to shift into this wild form, she is still young and isn't as large as some of her family members, especially her brother, who can shift into an overly large black panther.
Personality Description: Trini is an enthusiastic young woman who is quite confident in her own abilities as an individual and as a De Costa shifter. Always being the first to step forward, Trini sees herself as ambitious and thrill seeking, wanting nothing more than to enjoy herself while pushing her own physical and mental capabilities at the same time; due to this attribute she can at times be overbearing and a little pretentious. Along with her need to push herself, she often seeks to impress others around her; she has always been one to want admiration and attention from her parents as well as her friends, but because of her lacking ability as a shifter she was constantly denied this praise in respect to her older brother, someone who has always excelled in his own right. Although she has often found herself becoming jealous of her older brother, she never held it against him and always favored his company, which he was always happy to give.
Although attention seeking, she can be a loyal and generous individual who is always there for her friends when they need her; even if her helping might involve getting into heated arguments that end in the other person giving up because she has a hard time backing down from a fight. Despite her excessive personality, Trini is a good person to have on your side because once she is, she'll never abandon you even in the tightest of situations.

Powers:
- Shape-shifting: Trini's more prominent ability is that of her ability to shift at will into a jaguar, something that she has inherited from her mother and father and that they inherited from their parents before her; she comes from a long line of shifters and, like her brother, has the same ability that they did. Very unlike her brother, she's still learning how to keep control of her human mind when in this form. Her ability to shift includes the enhancement of her predatory senses, as well as, being able to see in the dark and having heightened physical ability and endurance. While in human form, she can still tap into these abilities but they aren't as permanent as when she is in her feline form. The only way for her to change back is either by her own choice or if she loses consciousness.
- Healing: Although not as extravagant as her ability to shift, Trini has a higher tolerance for pain and a faster healing rate than most humans her age. This is due to her species as a Feline. With this ability, she can heal most of her injuries by shifting, although if she attempts to shift while badly injured it may still take a while for the wound to heal.[/list:u]Biography: Trini was born into the De Costa family when they were still living with her grandparents in their villa in Brazil; her older brother was seven years her senior at the time they brought her home from the hospital and upon seeing her, instantly became attached. The two of them were nearly inseparable for the first few months after her birth and although she can't remember much of it, her mother often told her stories of how he carried her around the house everywhere and refused to give her up to anyone, even when she was crying to be fed. The older she became the closer she was to her brother until she was around four or five, it was around this time that Vasco, or Vas as she called him, left with his father to be taught how to control his newly maturing shifting abilities. Trini often remembers these years as the lowest of her life because of the lack of her favorite sibling. She lived out the next five years like a normal child, going to school and experiencing life the best way a young girl new how.
When her brother finally returned she was almost eleven years old and she hardly recognized him despite having been told repeatedly that it was him. He had grown much taller and had the appearance of a strong young man, being eighteen at the time of his return; it was weird to her, but she eventually was able to accept him and returned to being overly attached to her older brother. Although he was older, his affection for her never changed and he still gave her the attention she sought from him, but there was always something different about him. Trini never really understood it until she herself began to go through the changes that he had gone through. The maturity of her abilities came to a head sometime around her thirteenth birthday, during this time she was offered the same opportunity to leave with her father and be schooled in the ways and traditions of a De Costa shifter. She accepted excitedly and left her mother and older brother to learn how to control this new ability. For five years she experienced life alone with her father, learning the ways to control the newly awakened animal inside of her and prevent it from taking control even when she was in her human form. She did well enough, but after shifting for the first time it became obvious that she was going to have a hard time keeping her own good senses when in feline form; her father was worried, as a parent rightfully would be, but she assured him that she would be able to control it with time.
When she returned home, she felt that she had become a new Trini and had pretty much learned the in's and out's that being a shifter entailed; she was proud of her new found knowledge and understood the change that she had sensed in her older brother. Unfortunately, her feeling of accomplishment didn't last long as she discovered that her older brother had left home to seek schooling at a place far from the family's villa. Wanting nothing more but to be close to him, she requested that she too be allowed to attend this school and her parents, figuring that the specialized school would be a good chance for her to further understand her own abilities as well as interact with others like her, permitted it and right away sought out her enrollment in the Starlight Academy.
