Rising☆Stars

Rising☆Stars is the A Capella show choir of Starlight Academy featuring the musically talented of the school, ranging from the little elementary kids up to the collegiate super stars. Members gather for training and rehearsals, and also perform in large gatherings both in school events and city-wide festivities alike. One of the most awaited events for the group is the Lilac Festival celebrated yearly in the spring, and have performed every year since their founding in 2015.

The group is mainly an A Capella choir, focusing on the singing and music ability of its members and mixed in with stage choreography. All members are encouraged to make creative contributions to the group including music arrangement and choreography for all to perform. While the group itself was mainly established as a performance organization, it has also become a platform for those who aim to continue professionally into the show business.




Rising☆Stars is back with a brand new official plotting thread for SA's idol club show choir! If you're making a thread relevant to the club, please tag it with "rising stars"; and don't forget throw in a link here for everyone!

This thread is for suggestions for what we can do with the club and also plan out IC activities of the group. Feel free to suggest any ideas we can work on, even if it's a simple prompt that we all could build up from, be it event ideas and even group stuff like training camps. There will be some practice threads at some point, and maybe even auditions for anyone who needs it.

Everyone's free to make threads for the club for minor gatherings, but major events and performances must be discussed here beforehand. The club can perform in school events as well as city-wide events and they are also open for collaborative events with other performing clubs.

Rising☆Stars meets up during weekends for regular practice (or sometimes just to hang out). The group would have to meet up more regularly if there are any upcoming performances but unofficial meet-ups can happen between members who want to catch up on routines and such. Mass orientation and auditions are held during the start of the school year around August but students may approach the club for one-on-one auditions at any other time.

The Club Manager's role is mainly to manage and represent the entire club when it comes to events and coordinating with event organizers. They ideally remain off-stage for most performances, though will be allowed to perform as well. The Choir Leader is expected to be more experienced in music but will also be working hand in hand with the manager with organizing the internal affairs of the club.

Club sign-ups and one-on-one auditions are open all throughout the year so feel free to throw in your characters! As the club was canonically established years ago, there are veteran members in the group — feel free to note that when you sign them up!

@Foxy I would say, not during the performances? The club focuses mainly on vocals but knowing how to play instruments would be a big plus especially for rehearsals/training
