At roughly 4 in the afternoon, Michael's bakery was at a low point in terms of crowds- but that didn't mean Michael had time to just play around. He usually spent this time cleaning the entire place, and then would set to planning specials for the next morning. He didn't mind, though- he liked running around and he'd often great customers as he did this.

If he were honest with himself, it was a bit rough. His last employees had left due to either finding better opportunity, or just disliking how much pressure the fae would put on them. It wasn't his fault they couldn't tolerate his desires for near-impeccable quality. After all, he had a business to run, and that business only served the best. Even if that meant only he was serving. Not to mention he kept the bakery absolutely flawless- not a speck of dirt to be found in the place, with glossy windows to boot. The pink put some people off, but he liked the overall vibe it gave the place.

He was sure new people would drop in eventually, though- they always did. He just needed to hang tight. And until then, he had plenty of stamina- and vines, on occasion- to keep the business running in tip-top shape. Having his glamour on also made him feel just that much more attractive, too, which increased his overall energy output. He did make quite a nice-looking brunette, after all.

Cadenza stood firm on the sidewalk, facing towards the front of Sugar Street Sweets, a frown on her face as she started at the stores sign from across the street. She'd been glancing at the place time and time again, usually after classes when she was on her way back to her apartment. Well, it was among the places she'd been staring at. But she'd heard stuff about this particular bakery: location maintenance, high quality confectionery, and a boss with attitude. An apparently gorgeous boss with attitude.

The demon shook her head, clearing her thoughts of anything that didn't involve her goals at the moment. Her goal was getting an internship to match up with her college major. Honestly speaking, Arach didn't want to be working for anyone too soon, but there was no life contract which dampened the cons of being an employee. Besides, maybe after this she could put up her own business soon after.

Pumping her fist as a last attempt to boost her morale, she made her way across the street to the entrance of the bakery. It wasn't a particularly busy afternoon -- exactly how she needed. Cadenza entered the shop, her head held high, clutching tightly to the bag on her hand just to remember she hadn't dropped it.

She curiously approached the brunette, looking like a girl with a purpose. "Excuse me, I'd like to speak to the owner, are they here?"

Now, Michael had noticed someone standing right outside his shop- after all, their were rather large glass windows in front to see through- but he simply shrugged it off in favor of making some last touches on a cake he'd just put on display. If no one bought it by the end of the day, he'd personally donate it to.. somewhere. Where was still up on the decision block.

Of course, this track of thought was disrupted when the woman who'd been standing outside decided to finally enter. His gaze quickly landed upon her, not exactly the warmest look, but also nothing of an accusatory nature. It was simply looking her over to make sure she didn't have a weapon or anything of the sort. After all- if this was a hold up, he wanted to be prepared.

A business-friendly kind of smile followed after this quick examination as she approached. "Hello and welcome," He called out with a chipper tone, "If you're looking for the owner, well- you're looking right at him." He couldn't help the smirk that came to him as he said this. There'd always been a sense of pride he felt in being not just a worker, but an owner of this place.

That aside, this woman clearly needed something, so that would be his focus. "How may I help you, miss?"
