The past few days and weeks have been weird. It was boring, everything was boring and full of things that just bothered Nico a lot such as Shay’s disappearance and his weird increase in super cryptid fan mail. The fan mail was….honestly the cherry on top of everything being that he had a dedicated area for it in his room. He got weird things love letters or hate mail or a bunch of moonpies or the occasional unmarked mail with a single cryptid messages like: “You seem Unhappy”, “Boring Cats are boring”, “Believe No one” ,”Life is like a toilet, It gets full of shit” , and “Good things never last long” that was the more recent one.
So that day Nico just stayed in his sorting those around. From what he can assume the cryptid and weird message mail was all coming from the same person which was sorta concerning.
Still the most annoying thing was his sleep schedule which was way messed up. He couldn't sleep or he could sleep all day and still feel like he haven't slept for days.
Nico has...weird dreams like acid trip type of dreams. These dreams are harmless and sometimes not so harmless and sometimes they are just real enough to actually make him believe them.
This basically explains why for the past hour Nico just laying in his bed staring at the ceiling.
“Get up and go outside”
He groaned and simply rolled out the bed and hitting the floor. Nico laid on the floor for a bit before getting up and sneaking out a window in his room just to get outside.
It was better than getting caught trying to go outside this late by Aricia or someone else. He wasn't sure how to explain that he couldn't go to sleep because of trippy dreams so a little voice in his head told him to go outside in the middle of the night so he can sleep in a tree. How could he explain that without sounding a little bit of batshit crazy?
Once he was able to successfully get outside he climbed up some tree and just relaxed on one of the branches. Nico like being on high places as he could actually sleep better on a tree or some roof rather than actual bed.
