House of Spirits

If you try walking down further away from the heart of the city, edging dangerously close to the Underground area, you'll find a small shop of curiosities smack dab in a rather strange spot. House of Spirits is a quirky little corner shop of charms and Hoodoo. The entrace of the shop is in no way 'ordinary' by the strange displays of animal skulls and strange idols. The sign of the shop hangs in front, painted on a darkwood plaque that hangs by wrought iron chains. The front of the store is darkwood with stained glass in cool colors. Upon entrance, the first thing one would notice is how barely illuminated the place is — strangely enough, the atmosphere is peaceful, like a still night.

Candles clutter the room, seemingly the only source of light if the colored windows didn't someow allow light to enter. There are more skulls of different shapes and sizes hanging along the back end of the room, hovering above what seems to be a small cauldron. Nearby is a shelf, filled to the top with bottles and canisters filled with ingredients and a few trunks next to it. At the very center of the main room is a wide coffee table often left with unfinished carvings, bone fragments and other barely identifiable knick-knacks on top. Around it are soft pillows for the conjurer and her visitors. If one took the time to study the floor under it, there is a strange inscription hidden under the carpet it stands on.

House of Spirits is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm and sells a variety of potions, healing oils, home-made powders, as well as custom-made charms and amulets for everyone in want. The conjurer also offers a secret service for Voodoo but it is not publicly advertised. The shop is solely owned by Eleanor Wu and is not looking for any further help.
