"Of course I would respect everyone! I just... yeah... With the NEK0s I don't want them to learn about this and see me differently... It's been a mess enough with other things. I mean, I'm not hiding it, just keeping it from the NEK0s." Kon let out a tired sigh and his colors became somewhat grey.

"So, do I need to pay to get meat or blood through here?"

"Kon," Natasha said a bit more firmly, but not unkindly when he started getting a little more agitated. She could tell things were taking their toll on him to some extent. "It's okay..." she said meeting his gaze calmly, "I didn't mean to imply anything negative, and you needn't worry about me saying anything to Kyomi," she told him, needing him to understand that what went on at the MCSS stayed there.

When Kon changed the topic slightly, Natasha just nodded, unperturbed. She understood how overwhelming things were in the beginning and she wasn't about to badger him, that wasn't what the association was about. If he wanted to move on to something else, she would easily take his cues.

"We don't charge for our services, nor for blood or flesh," she explained to him, "We do however have a donation box and we'd hope that every once in a while members would contribute back with what they can, or even just donate their time or skills every once in a while to help out those at the MCSS," she said very matter-of-factly.

"That said if a person is unable to contribute financially or can't lend a hand because of circumstances, we most certainly will not turn them away," she added.

Good, Kon thought as Natasha tried to console him, Because if you did, I would have her throat. The thought sent a light chill down Kon's spine at how brutal it was and how naturally it came to him. Hadn't he had enough food? Did he need more? Or was this just how he was going to be normally? It wasn't like violent thoughts were uncommon for him, but they weren't so direct or animalistic as that.

"Well, I've been considering picking up a side job as an organ and blood donor. I could do that here once in a while for your services though. It'd be good for other people who need to feed on specific species too... since I can change my blood type and species."

At least there was that way to avoid giving up his money or spending too much time doing who knows what. It was much easier to cut off a hand (or paw) and give it up for food. He could have pretended like he couldn't donate in any way for a while, but it sounded better to get in good with the MCSS as he used their services. With the situation he was in, it sounded better to get in good with any flesh-eater or blood-drinker groups and services. He was in no position to make a bad name for himself as the lazy freeloader.

"And the buddy system. I'm interested in that too. I'm not, uh, exactly sure who to talk to about the new urges and thoughts I have. I have my therapist, but we're working through some other stuff, and I don't want to dump too many topics on him."

"We can most certainly look into that," Natasha remarked calmly, "I will need to talk to our main provider and supplier first, but I am sure something can be worked out," she said in a reasonable tone when Kon suggested donating blood and flesh to the MCSS.

"The changes, urges that you are experiencing are not that uncommon, and I'm sure a good therapist can help you cope," she agreed. "But sometimes, it's just a relief to know there are others who are going or have been through something similar, and can relate to you," she said, understanding quite well what Kon was referring to.

"If you want, I can get you the forms to fill out to join, and for the Buddy system. You can even go over them at home if you want, and then we can decide afterward who might be a good fit for you?" she suggested.

Kon nodded gently at Natasha's words as she spoke, not wanting to seem like he wasn't taking in the information. This talk went significantly better than he had expected, yet he still felt off. Something here wasn't giving him what he wanted. Was he hoping for some more push back or an argument? Doubtful. He suspected he wanted someway to just get himself fix, not how to deal with what he had now.

"I'm hoping there's some way to get rid of the urges entirely," he replied with a stiff smile, "but yes, for now, I'd love to have a form to fill out. The sooner I have someone to talk to, the better. Do you have something I can read up on about other services I could use? From here or elsewhere? And information about being a blood-drinker or flesh-eater in general? I'm doing as much research as possible to avoid anything surprising me down the line. I was initially going to look for ways to 'fix' myself, but that is a whole other thing I need to be careful with." With his track record, trying to fix the problem would only make it worse.

"I am afraid I don't know of any permanent fix," Natasha said as she pushed her chair back. "I can assure you that the urges lessen over time, until then you might see if ...oh, wait," she said as she excused herself to grab a few things from her office. One of them was a business card with the logo of the MCSS on it, and on the back, there was a name and a phone number handwritten in fancy script.

"This doctor, well, he is an old friend and specializes in Vampires and Werewolves," she explained, "he might be able to help you out with the urges," she said as she handed Konpeito the card along with some info on the MCSS, a few pamphlets and books on the topics he asked about that she thought might be useful to him.

Konpeitō took the card with an unsure look. Not because he had any reservations about the doctor. The doctor sounded helpful. Extremely helpful. He would most likely not tell him his urges were good and should be kept with pride.

No, what caused Kon uncertainty was how Natasha said that the urges lessen over time. With an awkward smile, he shrugged and said, "I hope so, but I doubt it. I need new DNA after a while, so sooner or later I'll run out of readily available new DNA and have to go out of my way to not go crazy. That's what I fear the most."

Not wanting to sound unappreciative and pessimistic, he forced a very enthusiastic smile on his face. "Thank you. Really. This should help a lot. I can't wait to help out here either. Is there anything I should know about the blood and flesh donating process? I could bring my medical records here, to show I'm safe."

Upon hearing about the specifics of his "vampirism", Natasha looked at Kon rather surprised. She did not quite know what to say. She had known and met vampires who needed a certain blood type or even an RH, but never a need as specific as Kon's.

"Forgive me, I was not aware of the specifics," she began as she looked at Kon with quiet understanding, "Hopefully, Dr. Wolfstein can help you in some way," she added, giving him a hopeful smile.

"Let's see, the donation process. Yes," Natasha said when Kon changed the subject. "Here is a list of requirements that you need to sign," she said handing him an official-looking document with the MCSS letterhead.

"Medical records are necessary, and if you are going to see Dr. Wolfstein, have him sign this too, please," she added as she handed him another document. "We ask each donor to see Dr. Wolfstein just to make sure everything is in order. He will do a quick blood test - just so you are aware," she explained calmly. It was slightly ironic, at least to her, that the fear of needles was still a thing with some vampires.

Thankfully, Natasha was understanding that what he was going through wasn't anything normal. That should have made Konpeitō feel better, but upon second thought, he would have liked for whatever he was going through to be normal. It would make finding a cure much easier.

That could be thought about later when they went to Dr. Wolfstein. Kon returned Natasha's smile with one of his own, then listened to her about how the donation process would go.

With the document in hand, he had a relaxed look on his face. "That all sounds easy enough. I'll get an appointment with Dr. Wolfstein as soon as possible... I think that's all the questions I have, then. This went a lot better than I expected. Thank you. Is there anything else I should know before I take my leave?"

"No, I think that's about it," Natasha said agreeably after a brief second in which she mentally ran through all the information she needed to give Konpeito. Satisfied everything was in order, she gave Kon a warm smile.

"If you have any more questions, please let me know," she told him. "And if you want, I can have my assistant show you around the centre, and get you set up with some blood or flesh?" she offered as she got to her feet.
