Fweiu had almost made up her mind on what to do with this cloned dragon. He was one of them, one of her people. He was hers. The fact that he hatched from a glass tube rather than an egg changed nothing about that. She was going to take him in. The only thing that could change her mind was if he made an absolutely abhorrent first impression on her - and she couldn't even imagine what that would look like.

She came well-dressed for this occasion. The kids might call it "extra." She had on ornate jewelry, entirely made of magic ice crystals, which matched her crystalline shoulderguards and her icy circlet. The chief stood out like a sore thumb as she made her way to the room where she would meet this hatchling for the first time. She knew this place was an adolescent prison of some sort. If only she could have met him sooner, or under better circumstances...

The young dragon had started to grow irritable to these meetings. He had already met Quie, but not anyone else from outside the island. Though intrigued, he couldn’t help but feel agitated by the repeated use of ‘meeting in the waiting room and talk’. At least Quie made it interesting. The vague aggression that this dragon had was not helped by the fact he would be meeting the clan leader of the Rukt’In dragons. Intrigued to meet such a person, sure. But a competitive spark had taken root ever since he met Quie, and he really wanted to see what made this dragon... Fweiu, worthy to be a leader.

However, the copy was caught a bit off guard as he entered the room, without even knocking. He was used to waiting for whoever he would be meeting to arrive first, but it seemed he was the one who arrived later. His face went through surprise, then he quirked an eyebrow as he looked Fweiu over. His face, how he tensed up then crossed his arms, narrowed his eyes, would’ve been so familiar to Fweiu. She being one of the few relatives on the island who knew her cousin when he was the age the copy had been created as.

Compared to Fweiu, the younger dragon was majorly underdressed. Just regular casual clothes, with a hoodie and jeans. The only jewellery he had would be the silver earrings. His hair looked disheveled, almost like he had only recently woken up. Which it would be a lie if anyone said he hadn’t. But his eyes remained narrowed and focused on Fweiu, despite the rest of his appearance. “So, you’re Fweiu, right?” The copy finally spoke. The tone he carried seemed like he was trying to be confident and imposing, even with the noticeable difference in general size between the two. With Fweiu being the taller and more muscular one...

Fweiu just stared at the boy for a moment. It was uncanny how much he looked like a younger Liun. He even sounded like him, and held himself like him. She could almost feel herself going back in time a century and a half, turning into a much younger dragoness.

"That's correct, hatchling. I am the chief of the Rukt'In clan, and all of Akt'Anir. And in a sense, I'm also your older cousin." She smiled at him.

"Tell me, do you speak our language?" She would repeat the question in their dialect: "Do you speak Draconic?" She would much rather be carrying this conversation out in their own dialect.

He stared at Fweiu, sizing her up. Of course, he wouldn’t feel much towards her like with other people he had met recently. She would just be another new face. It was a bit unfortunate his default emotion towards other people tended towards aggression. If he knew how much the way he talked and held himself was similar to his original, the young dragon probably would have made an act to try and be different.

At being called a hatchling, there would be an immediate reaction as he narrowed his eyes at the taller dragon. “I am not your cousin.” His voice had a slight growl in it. “And I am only your relative by blood...” He still has a growl, but he more grumbled that time.

Before the copy could respond to Fweiu, she spoke in draconic. “The fuck?” Was all he could say as he stared. From the confused look on his face, and lack of response in draconic, it would be obvious that the younger dragon had no idea what Fweiu just said. A different language would have been something that he would learn after his creation, but obviously that never happened.

Oh well. "Guess you don't." Fweiu just laughed it off. In her defense, it didn't seem totally unrealistic that he might have known Draconic. "I had been wondering about that."

The boy wasn't ready to think of her as a cousin, or a chief, or anything else. "But you're right," Fweiu told him. "It is only by blood. In every other way, we're still strangers. And I'm going to change that. I'm Fweiu Rukt'In; you can call me Fweiu. I know you met my sister Quie before I came here."

Fweiu thought he was adorable. He was so grumpy and aggressive! And he probably wanted to fight her, too. At least Fweiu thought that kind of thing was cute and endearing - she could see how a human would take issue with it though. He was much more of a threat to them.

Something about Fweiu made the younger dragon want to fight her. Could be because he recognised she was certainly stronger than him, or that she was older. Could be because she was the leader of the clan and the dragon felt no respect towards her yet. It could even be how he hated the way she looked at him. The dragon could almost feel she wasn't taking him seriously, and to say it frustrated him would be a mild understatement.

His eyebrow twitched, and he glared at Fweiu. What he felt could be entirely in his head, but at that immediate moment he didn't feel it was. "And what if I don't want to change that?" He spoke coldly and full of venom. When he met Quie, the copy had been relatively calm to earn favour. But with Fweiu, all he felt was a desire to challenge her.

"You're not my chief or leader, why should I listen to you?" He growled. This would, basically, be the closest he would consider a challenge next to outright fighting, and the dragon certainly felt like fighting. All of his muscles were tensed, like he was ready to spring, as he scowled at Fweiu.

Fweiu paused for just a moment, considering that. She probably needed to change the way she was approaching him. He wasn't just like any other dragon kid back in the mountains, who grew up knowing about her. Though in a sense, his prickly attitude was reassuring. If he was meant to infiltrate the clan and do something bad, or something like that, he surely would have been much nicer to her.

"Well... You don't have to listen to me. And I can't force you to be a part of our family, and even if I could, I wouldn't want to. That's your choice to make, not mine. But I think you would be happier growing up around your own people, since we understand what that's like better than any of them do." She nodded at the door he just came out through.

"Like how I know you want to pick a fight with me. That's normal and healthy at your age. But being locked up like this can't be."

He continued his scowl, his hands clenched prepared for if he would fight Fweiu. But the more she spoke, the more the younger dragon relaxed. His mouth opened to speak, about to retort or argue with her, but he closed it again as a frown crept onto his face. It wouldn’t be one of aggression, but more contemplative thought.

The copy was about to say he wasn’t one of her people, continue his negative view that had persisted in the conversation thus far. But even he had to admit, that being around dragons he would at least be related to would probably make things easier... Then Fweiu spoke as if she had read his mind, that would be how the dragon perceived it anyway.

Being an aggressive teenager, some of the people he had met tried to cool him down. It frustrated him, in a way, that he found it hard to change to their expectations. He felt that it wasn’t normal for him to want to fight others, but he didn’t exactly want to go against the instincts he had. Then Fweiu basically said it was natural. The look on the younger dragon’s face dropped from a frown, to a more cautious yet curious look. “Really?” The dragon tilted his head, his eyes a bit wider compared to the narrowed aggression they had before.

Fweiu nodded to him. "I was like that, too, when I was young. Most of us were aggressive - it's almost a surprise when that doesn't happen."

She thought about her younger brother, Shul. She had been especially mean to him, back then, and it felt so stupid now. His size, and the way people talked, was just so threatening to her. If she had only talked to him, instead of forcing his hand the way she did...

But now that she was on memory lane, she had stories to tell. "I used to pick fights with a lot of people. I would try to chew on just about anyone when I had just hatched. I started picking fights with centuries-old dragons when I was eight. Of course, I was terribly outmatched - they could have killed me by rolling over on me." She laughed a little. "But I never got hurt too badly. They were good sports with me."

The teenager blinked, a surprised look crept onto his face. Even she was aggressive? He had to admit he was surprised. Sure he could tell Fweiu was physically strong, but she seemed quite composed. Yet she just said that she was similar to him. Quickly, he wiped the surprised look off his face and it instead changed to a vaguely embarrassed look as he turned from Fweiu. Not like he was interested or anything...

But it was how the younger dragon just couldn’t keep glancing back at her as she spoke of the past they gave away his interest. By this point, he has relaxed a considerable amount. Eventually, he gave up with his ‘totally not interested’ act and turned to look at Fweiu with interest. His eyes were wider, more curious. It wouldn’t be hard to see parts of Liun in there, like when he was a child.

“It’s... normal to be aggressive there, then? The staff here had been making it out that it was bad I tried to fight someone when I first came to the island.” The copy huffed as he crossed his arms. What he so helpfully left out was the fact he had attempted to attack a nurse in the hospital the moment he could walk without warning. Though Fweiu more than likely knew about this.
