The Straga Strategem

Bel looked at Straga, "That's a pretty amazing ability. To be honest, I've never heard of somebody being able to do that before," she confessed. It seemed like every day there was some new and crazy Bel discovered. Things had stopped leaving her awestruck as they did at first, but they still impressed her nonetheless.

"What does a king's aura do?" she asked then. It was another term she was not familiar with.

Bel eyed Straga then, slightly narrowing her gaze as she tried to make out if she could see his worth, visibly curious now by him and what he had just told her. All of it sounded a little a god-like to her and she suspected his aura went in function of that.

After a second, she nodded thoughtfully. He was definitely worthy of his gift, she could see that in him. He shone brightly even though there were and had been obvious moments of destruction in his life. But then again, most immortals or those who had lived a long time had that.

"Destra sounds pretty amazing," Bel said then, "I just know him from passing in the hall, the odd class and stuff like that. I didn't realise that he had so much going on in his life," she admitted.

"Oh, definitely," Bel said as she sat back a little on the rock, referring to Destra's responsibilities, "I mean a lot of the students here, their biggest worry is passing some subject, wondering if some guy or girl likes them, or what they are going to do on the weekend."

"And that's a very good trait to have," she told Straga, "Good, strong allies are important. Especially, when you are leading or at the head of a family," she said as some of Beltane's goddess memories came to her of strong heads of clans that she, the goddess Beltane, had known throughout history and time.
