It was time.
Time to do something she didn't want to do. But it was important, that much she knew.
A few months ago, she was almost caught by a scary person when she was just looking for something to eat. She didn't know why the person wasn't as friendly as the others she had met, but she came to the conclusion that unless she confronted the person, she would have to keep hiding herself, but now that she could understand people, she longed to talk to more people.
But this was a real risk, she knew. If she couldn't escape when the scary person tried to catch her again, she would probably be taken away. She was taken once by someone who wore the same clothing as the one who scared her out, but they also tried to keep her from feeding herself. So she learned to avoid those people. But now that she had grown and could understand, she hoped she would be able to talk to the person who scared her, and maybe they won't want to catch her anymore.
For a while now, she was looking for the scary person, and only recently did she find out that the person went by the name, Angelo. He and the person who caught her first were called the police, and they were supposed to help people. That was what made her want to talk to them. But she was still scared, so she had to make sure she was someplace she could escape from. One such place was inside an abandoned building. She used to look around this place to find food, and when it ran out, it was used as a place where she could hide in when her owner wasn't home.
Thinking that that was all she needed, she wrote a letter saying "ANGELO! Important Apology. Please meet here", along with crudely drawn directions to the abandoned building from where she decided to drop the letter off. Her handwriting was horrible, and she left pink stains everywhere whenever she touched a piece of the paper, but it was legible enough. She left the note on a post in the street where she knew Angelo usually walked around this time of night. She made it stick to the pole with a little bit of slime. She hoped that the honey-like smell and the pink slime would clue Angelo in to who she was, and she hoped he wouldn't bring that loud machine with him.
The abandoned building was only a block away, and could be seen from where the letter was. She was peeking from the top floor, just to make sure no one took the letter except for Angelo.
