"Nghguhh..." moaned Nyota as she awoke from her 7 hour slumber.

The groggy girl listlessly looked around her surroundings as she tried to recalled where she was and what exactly she was doing last night. Now that she had a moment to collect herself, she could recognize that she was in her dorm with dirty clothes thrown about, half finished paintings laying on the walls, and assorted spar trek memorabilia decorating her section of the dorm. On the wall she could see the large retro poster that read "Star Trek" in bold white letters with the portrait of Kirk, Spock, and McCoy on the front while the ship and the rest of its crew appeared in the foreground. Her room was a mess but it felt a lot like home... minus the dirty laundry. Somehow she still hasn't gotten used to the fact that she was to go out and do her own laundry.

Her own bed was in just as deplorable state... the blankets are tossed about, the covers are have came undone somehow, and it was all cover in nacho cheese Doritos crumbs. Apparently she had left the bag of chips she was munching on last night on her bed and the remaining crumbs spilled onto the mattress as she sleep. Nyota then turns her head to the bright luminescent screen of her laptop that had apparently been playing videos all night long. She had no idea what it was she was even watched as she turned off the power and closed the screen. Nyota then looked at the empty beds around her, silently thankful that no one was here to see how disgusting she much have looked right about now.

Nyota stretched her arm and her next as she rose from her bed and lumbered her way to the bathroom. As she pulled away the sheets, she revealed that she was wearing cheap medium grey T-shirt that was two sizes larger than her and brazened with a faded starfleet logo right on the chest. This was in contrast with her red and white boy briefs that read "I shave my thimble" on her butt in bold white letters. Its a tad provocative but its not like anyone was going to get that reference anyway if they were to see it.

As Nyota entered the bathroom, she took one good long look in the mirror and concluded that she was a triple A+ grade slob with how her mahogany hair looked plain awful.

"Looking good hot stuff..." said Nyota sarcastically to herself.

Nyota then picks up a plain blue tooth brush and does her daily brushing her teeth ritual. As she brushes her teeth, she tries to recall what time was it... and what day was it while she was at it. If it was a schoolday then she might as well just forget about attending her first period class. At this point, she might as well not bother showing up... assuming that it was a school day. Well... more time for her to herself then~ After all, she had the entire dorm to herself and the total lack of responsibility has been great for her so far!

@Ballerina

((Go ahead and make your entrance! Just imagine a spacious room with 2-4 beds (no idea how many more roomates we might have... if any), some furniture, and a small kitchen. One door leading to the bathroom and another leading to the hallway and the last leads to the balcany. Aside from Nyota's messy corner near the back of the room, the rest of the dorm looks quite pristine and your free to add whatever you feel is needed for the . Have fun roomy :P))

Klef wandered through the vacant hallways for what felt like an eternity. Their feet dragged across the carpeted floor, in no rush to settle into their dorm. Finding the location of the dorm would be a breeze given their powers, finding the courage to walk through the hallways as a new student under a new identity was another story. Each step they made forward made the ground shake slightly more than the last. Being nervous was a foreign feeling to Klef, a kid who had done things far more daring than attending highschool, yet they could feel the butterflies in their stomach.

Upon hearing the some fumbling in a nearby dorm, they pulled the large hood over their head. The way they dressed would have raised a few eyebrows. They wore an oversized teal hoodie that cast a dark shadow over their face, ripped up jeans with several holes, exposing equally ripped up knees, and a pair of dirtied converse. For the first time, they were thankful that it was well into the morning since it was a time when most students were attending their first period.

Clenched up in their fist poked a small slip of paper with a dark blue jumble of numbers written on it. It was given to them by one of the Academy's staff whose name they could not recall. Although it was a kind gesture,it was completely useless to a student who could track down auras. Their eyes trailed down to the slip before emitting a faint cyan glow. A disappointed sigh escaped from their mouth. Klef secretly hoped that there would be no one else in the dorm, as it would be a nice chance to let their guard down and decorate in piece, but the aura they read said otherwise.

Klef started to shuffle over to the dorm with the numbers matching that of the one they had scribbled on the sheet. Feelings of excitement replaced the dread as they wondered what their new dorm mate would be like. Sure, it meant having their guard up 24/7, but it wasn't too often that they were offered the chance to interact with someone remotely close to their age. Air filled their chest and escaped a few moments later. Their hand hovered over the doornob, so close that if they were pushed even just a millimeter it would be touching. They hesitated for a moment before unlocking the door with their new key.

" Hi! I'm Klef!"

They said quietly, forcing a grin onto their face as they blindly stepped into the room. Klef kept their eyes barely open in hopes of appearing normal since the blue glow from tracking the dorm had yet to fade away. Little did they know they looked anything but normal. Their hood cast a prominate shadow over their face, making the two slivers of light more prominent than before. Accompanied by clothes so torn up that it was hard to tell if it was a fashion statement or if they were mauled by a bear, Klef looked as if they were about to warn their new roomate about the zombies. For the first few moments in the dorm, everything seems normal besides them. That was until the glow began to fade, allowing them to get a better look at the scene.

The dorm looked exactly how they imagined, it was tidy and furnished with hallways, one leading to what they guessed was a bathroom. As tempted as they were to explore the place with their powers, they thought it would be best to keep their eyes from lighting up again, it may scare off the roommate.

Everything seemed perfectly normal until they turned their head to see a pigsty in the back of the room. Usually, one would probably react in disgust upon seeing crushed up chips on the bed and dirty laundry everywhere, but they were quite pleased with the set up. Usually their uncle nagged them whenever anything was out of place, he enjoyed the apartment looking pristine. On the other hand, Klef had an unusual taste in interior design that they believed would be allowed with such a laid back roommate.

They wondered how their roommate would be like, from the looks of it, he was definitely a guy if he kept the room this messy. Even though it would make keeping their guard up a gazillion times harder than it already was, they knew that they got along better with guys than girls from past experience. It was only seconds since they entered the dorm, but their curiosity about their new roommate was killing them, they couldn't take the silence any longer.

Although they did not want to walk into their roommate at a bad time, Klef was unsure whether they even heard them entering. They wanted to normal for once, so they skipped reading the aura that usually gave them basic physical details about a person in favor of meeting them face to face. Slowly, Klef walked over towards the hallway and began to speak.

" Hey, not sure if you heard me the first time, but I'm Klef, I think we're roomates!"

( Hi Roomie! Sorry this post is so long, usually their only 2-4 paragraphs, but I was trying to set things up a bit on my behalf too. I'll try to recruit some people over to our dorm in the Cbox. Thanks for all the additional info, I really appreciate it!)

Nyota froze in place, watching her eyes widen upon hearing words someone introduce themselves in her room. Nyota slowly looked to the door... surely her ears where playing tricks on her. There no way that- and then they introduced themselves again. And... what was their name? Klef? It... it sounded like something else from where she was standing. And... roommates? Now? WHY!? Well it was pretty inevitable but... wasn't she suppose to receive a warning about this sort of thing?

Nyota groans as she spat a white foam from her mouth and set her toothbrush under the faucet. She gave her brush a quick rinse, set it aside, gathered a handful of water, and swished her mouth to remove any residual toothpaste from her mouth. Now that she had at least clean breath, she might as introduce herself as the filthy slob that she is.

"Yeah I heard you... just give me a moment." she snarled, opening the door to see who her new roommate was.

As the door swings open, Nyota swaggered her way to her roommate giving... whoever they were a stern lookover. First impression... she was not impressed. They looked rather scrawy and they dressed as if they went throw a woodchipper. Nyota sighed as she rested her only arm onto her waist.

"Soo... you my roommate? Alright... what exactly are you suppose to be? Vampire? Wizard? Alien? Robot cyborg ninja?" interrogated Nyota as she tries to look past what lies behind their hoodie.

"Seriously... what are you trying to hide under that hoodie?" questioned Nyota as her eyes that radiate with the intensity of the sun tried to find her roommate's eyes under the hoodie they were wearing.

((No problem, a solid introduction is important!))

Klef stayed put while waiting for their roommate. It was tempting to use their powers to figure about additional details about their roommate, but they decided against that in favor of making a decent impression on their roommate by keeping their eyes as normal looking. From the sound of her voice, Klef guessed that it was a girl. They tried to hold in the disappointed sigh that usually followed by such realizations. To make matters even worse, she was already vexed by the fact that Klef repeated themselves.

Upon the sight of a set of eyes similar to theirs, Klef’s mouth perked into a small yet sincere smile. The roommate wore a large tee shirt and boy shorts with a phrase written on the backside. Klef assumed that she was still in her pajamas, that or their new uniform was super comfy. She couldn't be that bad if she had such comfortable taste in clothing. Not everyone was a morning person like Klef was, maybe she just woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

The eager smile quickly reverted to a more neutral expression as the girl began to question everything about them, even their hoodie. The first question was easy to answer. She looked different with her yellow glowing eyes and stump arm, making Klef the same thing about her.

“ Human, duh!” Their voice slightly trembled near the end of their response as they noticed how uncomfortable they were about answering the second question. Surely, if their roommate found out what a wimp they actually were they would be taken less seriously. Klef soon realized that the girl may have been wondering more about why they were wearing a hood over their face, to be fair, they too, would also be wary of a mysterious hooded figure that barges into people's dorms.

"I'm hiding my third arm of course!" Joked Klef. Now that there was no reason to hide the fact that their eyes glowed, Klef could partially answer the girls question . Klef pulled the hood down, revealing a set of round eyes and short disheveled hair. " Nothing strange about me I swear!" Well, maybe other than the fact that their eyes flowed when they read auras, but other than that...

Nyota furrowed her brow when Klef joked about having a third arm... something she didn't find all that amusing.

"Uh-huh... very funny... I guess that between you and me we have a full set then." dryly commented Nyota as she waved to Klef with her useless stump arm.

While she may have gotten used to the lack of a left arm... it was still something that irked her wrong way whenever someone mentioned it. She wasn't sure if they were trying to funny or malicious with their poor attempt at humor but Nyota was going to let that comment slide for now. Maybe they were just dumb.

"Nothing strange about huh?" remarked Nyota as she takes a step forward to Klef, as if to intimidate them "What what else are you here for then? A proper education? Thats a laugh... the only people that come here are freaks or weirdos who all have something special about them. So what makes you so special hrrmm?"

Castiel held his piece of paper in his hand so tightly, the number was barely readable from all the crinkling. That didn’t matter; he’d already memorized what it’d said. How could you not when you were looking at it for half an hour. #308. He’d looked at it so much; he’d probably never forget it. He wasn’t scared, but he was definitely anxious. He was going to have to bunk with whoever else was there for the rest of his time at this academy. He was hoping he didn’t get put with someone who always tried to talk to him, but he didn’t want any Snow White kind of person who sung every morning and fed the birds either.

‘How big was this school?’ He asked himself. It felt like he’d been walking around these dorm halls for at least an hour. He hadn’t even been paying attention to the room numbers on the doors. He looked around. 600. 600. He was facing room 600. ”Aw, fuck.” He whispered under his breath. He started running in the opposite direction. About 5 minutes later, he found himself face to face with the room he was looking for. He was still trying to catch his breath as he stopped in front of the room. Straight sprinting for 5 minutes with your luggage and knocking over two people’s book can really wear someone out. He reached into the front of his black letterman jacket and took out a key. The front office had handed it to him as they gave him his room assignment.

He stuck the key into the lock and quickly unlocked it. He grabbed his luggage once more with his left hand, as he opened the door wide open with his right hand. He was faced with the amusing sight of a girl without an arm in what appeared to be her pajamas and bright white eyes quarreling with someone in a hoodie, ripped jean, and dirty converse. He couldn’t tell if they were a guy or a girl; their clothing really hid it. He looked down at himself. He was just wearing some black high-tops, black skinny jeans, and a tiger t-shirt over his black letterman jacket, a hood from it covering the top of his head. What had he just walked into? ”A lover’s quarrel?” He said aloud as he continued looking at the odd site. He looked at the room they were standing in. It was trashed. He was absolutely repulsed. He could take a bit of trash, but this place looked like it was fucking wrecked by a rabid raccoon! The look on his face depicted disgust, puzzlement, and annoyance in just one strong expression.

Shit, the fact that the girl had a stump arm slipped Klef’s mind when they made an endeavor towards lightening the mood. “ I-I was only kidding!” Klef staggered back as she took a step closer. They were uncertain whether or not the girl was acting threatening on purpose or if it was just her nature. Whatever her intention was, it had Klef in a cold sweat.

The whole ‘nothing strange’ was a blatant lie that Klef told, one that made absolutely zero sense considering that they were at a school made with freaks specifically in mind. And yet, Klef was still flabbergasted by Nyota being quick to catch onto the lie. The astonishment showed through in their eyes and their slightly opened mouth.

“ I mean, nothing strange compared to most kids at this place. All I have are these bad boys.” Klef told her, gesturing at their eyes, with the expectation that they would glow on cue. They didn’t. “ Of course this has to happen now!” They groaned, their eyes squinting at the girl in hopes of something happening. Nothing happened besides them knowing for sure that the girl was only a few feet away from them. “ Well, usually they glow, but apparently that just isn't the case today. I read auras, it's kind of my thing…. Well that and parkour.”

“ You’re asking me all these questions and I don’t even know your name. I wanna hear more about you…”
Before they could start ranting about how they knew nothing about her in walks a European, they could tell by the animal shirt. He had the strangest look on his face too, most likely disgusted by their favorite corner of the room. “Um… Welcome to our dorm?”

"W-what!? Jesus H Christ... another!?" cried out Nyota, twisting her head to face the newcomer.

Serciously, they where coming out from the woodwork! This one was hot as hell as well too! Thank god she wasn't naked when the two of them arrived! Were the dorms co-ed? They had to be given her new roommates.

"N-no! I hardly know them!" denied Nyota, sounding very flustered at moment.

The girl let out a sigh and pinched the bridge of her nose as she looked back to Klef. This whole thing was turning into as much of mess as her own corner of the room.

"Alright... well I guess you have point. Might as well make an introduction." groaned Nyota as she rested her arm to her side and glance at her two new roommates.

"Alright dorks, listen up. My name is Nyota. I'm am a girl from the the shithole that is Nebraska. Why am I here? Well... I ate a god and now my eyes are flashlights. I may also tried to burn the entire in world in nuclear fire. I hardly remember that little episode I had but you can presume that didn't get very far. My hobbies include looking up things on the internet, science fiction, painting, and being a fucking badass. So... yeah... as long as you two nerds don't antagonize me... I guess we will get along just fine. Alright whose up now?"

Nyota then looked between the two them, waiting for one of them to speak up and introduce themselves. If they were all to live together with each other... they were going to have to know a bit about each other sooner or later.

Another one… What was this, national new kid day? Klef turned around to get a better look at the newcomer, trying to hold in their laughter. The sight of the girl’s sudden change in behavior was what caused Klef to finally giggle a bit. At least she wasn’t lying, it had to be only a few minutes since the two met.

Finally, it was their turn to hear all about their roommate after literally being interrogated. Nyota was her name, she too had flashlight eyes and enjoyed sci-fi. The two might have been really good friends with all their similarities if she wasn’t such a jerk.

Klef was hesitant to spill the beans about their entire life story so they decided to take a more vague approach.

“My turn! I’m Klef! My nickname is the human GPS because I can navigate my way through almost anything thanks to my powers. My eyes get kind of freaky when I'm using them so you’ll know when I’m using them. I lived at a circus once, it was cool. Adventuring is kind of my thing, I like comic books too. I hope...well… I’m sure that we’ll all be super tight be the end of this year!”

He sported a snarky smile, his left hand resting on his hip. He looked to the side and muttered, ”It sure seemed like it.” These were the people that he was bunking with. Co-ed wasn’t really what he was accepting, but both genders were equally annoying, so he didn’t care.

He started to lose interest after the first word that the girl had said. He honestly didn’t really care about these people. Just point me in the direction of my room, please. He looked up when he realized they weren’t talking. What were they doing? Introductions? What was this, a therapy group? He sighed and looked to the side.

“My name is Castiel. I was born in Russia but moved to the U.S. when I was ten. It sucked, I killed someone by overloading their brain with sensory, erased my memory, regained my memory, and then came here. I also possess the ability of telekinesis.” He looked at them. "Regardless of my name, I’m not Castiel, the angel from the bible.” He’d seen what looked like a mothgirl floating down the corridor, so he didn’t want them thinking he wasn’t human. He’d also been asked if he was a reincarnated angel at the front, so he didn’t want them thinking he was hiding wings underneath his jacket.

He leaned on the arm of luggage and glared at them. “Can I go to my room now?”
