Cheerin' the hell up..

Ian walked down the street. For some reason, he was in a really good mood today. he had been around almost everypart of town today and was now walking through the city going to go get some lunch somewhere.

The first place ian had gone was the cliff where he looked over and kept thinking about all the people, students, that had comitted suicide there. Then he had gone to the lake, where friendship can me made or ended, many people he knew had been hurt there also. Then he went to the forest, a nice place, but a place where everyone went to escape their problems, even he too was guilty of this.

He could have been there all day thinking up all the negatives about each place he had gone. Today, he had worn a pair of black slacks, a white shirt, and a checkered suit jacket. He continued walking down the street, thinking about all the problems he'd been having and the affects his problems alone had on everyone, not to mention the problems of everyone else. The sun was out, but as Ian passed groups of students, they all seemed in a rush, or worried about something, or sad, a few even looked angry.

What's wrong with this school? he thought, Look at this, everyone's just mopeing around, I haven't seen one happy person all day. he thought, Wish there was some way to cheer everyoen the hell up aroudn here. he thought as he took his mp3 player out of his suit pocket and started listening to a few ska songs he had on it.

There has to be one happy person in this school. he thought, Impossible that everyone has somethign wrong with them right now. he thought as he continued walkign down the street.

Renke looked around him, checking to see if any cars were coming, then quickly crossed the street. He hated the city; he much prefered the woods. He had mainly come here for just a change of scenery, something different from the usual, but it didn't seem like this was all that great. I should have remembered about the last time I was here..., he thought to himself, recalling how much he had hated it last time.
Seeing no cars coming his way, he quickly crossed the street and couldn't help jumping when a car honked its horn at another. It was to damn loud here, he decided. Too much noise. Reaching to corner, he looked down the street to see a quaint little restaraunt that looked as if it couldn't cost that much to eat there. Walking quickly to get away from the population, he reached the door and gratefully pushed it open, very happy to get away from the noise.

Ian kept walkign down the street. He kept looking for a happy face somewhere, couldn't hear anything over his mp3 player. he came to a restaurant and pushed the door open. There were a few people and a boy who seemed to have just entered himself. Ian walked up to the counter, "I want a soda." he said as he half-skanked over to a table and sat down to await his order.

Renke looked at the guy who did that weird ska dance to his table. Having been to a couple of shows that had ska bands, Renke could guess that the guy was attempting to skank, but it wasn't working out so well. He certainly seemed the type to like ska, wearing a jacket like that.
Renke looked down at his own, dark blue hoodie with a hawk on it that he thought much look very boring to others. He sighed. They didn't get it, but how could they? Oh, well, it was easier to go unnoticed. Going up to the counter, he ordered a simple sandwich and soda, then sat down at a table not far from the ska kid, a name he would use unless he found a different one for the strange character.
Looking down hungrily at the sandwich, he picked up a half of it and bit in, savoring the flavor. It wasn't anything special, but he could smell it when he ate it and, compared to outside, it smelled like heaven.

Ian watched the kid order a sandwich and sit at a table. "he looks pretty happy." said Ian to himself as he grabbed his soda from the waitress as he got up from the table and pulled up a chair next to this kid. Ian figured he was in a good enough mood to say this, even if the stranger didn;t understand it. "love skavoovie." said Ian to the stranger as he took a sip of his soda, "How's it goin?" he asked.

Renke was startled by the ska kid coming over to him, but tried to hide it. "I'm fine." He answered simply with a basically emotionless face, "And yourself?" he asked after a moment's hesitation. He had absolutely no idea what the first the the ska kid had said to him was, so he just ignored it for the moment.

"I'm good, I'm good..." said Ian taking another sip of his soda and putting his headphones aroudn his neck.

Renke looked at the kid oddly for a moment, then rethought it and looked down at his sandwich. The ska kid didn't have any food, and Renke always felt odd eating in front of people when they weren't doing so themselves, but oh, well. It was the ska kid's choice. He picked up the sandwich again and took another bite. He didn't really care about the conversation; if he was right in his assumptions about the ska kid, he wouldn't have to do much to keep the conversation going.

"Are you happy today?" asked Ian wondering if that sounded odd or not. "Because no one else around here is." he said.

He swallowed his mouthful of sandwich, then repeated "I'm fine." He was completely baffled by this guy, the things he said. Yes, everyone was depressed, it wasn't an unknown fact, but it was normal teenager stuff.
