Private Finished Checking In.

Vespa had been out, she'd paid a visit to her favorite shop, grabbed some bone snacks and returned to the school. She'd just entered the dorms, making her way towards her, spotting her girlfriend banging on her door. The grim girl would quietly gnaw on a bone, watching Katie a moment.

"Katie," she'd finally say, "what are you doing?" She'd swallow what was left of her bone. She'd step towards her, fishing her key from her pocket

"You could have texted me," she'd pop another piece of bone in her mouth. "What'd you need?"

"That's why you text, to ask if I'm homw," she'd say with a snort, entering and dropping her bag and keys on the table. "Ask me something?" she'd in turn ask, digging in her bag and pulling out some bags of snacks.

She'd stop as she found something in particular. Looking to Katie she'd pull out the item and hold it out to her, her cheeks blushing a little. "Here....uh....its for you...," it was a keychain, in the shape of a top hat wearing penguin.

The half reaper would clear her throat. "So, yeah, looked like something you'd like," she'd clear her throat.

The half reaper would tilt her head, she'd never heard Katie talk like this before, her voice was off. Then the other girl went on about magic and such, and then the big question came. Vespa supposed she knew it was going to be asked eventually.

She'd sigh, scratching at her forehead. "Yes," she'd finally say. "I have a shorter life than humans, it's a weird genetic thing," her mother was a demonic abomination, and passed down bad things to her children.

"The doctors....they think I have two to five years." Katie would be able to notice a brief flash of fear in her eyes, something that was incredibly rare.

She'd blink in surprise when Katie dropped to the floor. "Uh....Katie?" she'd glance left and right before stepping over to the other girl. "Uh....i-it's alright," the girl would tell her.

Finally she'd drop down beside her, wrapping her arms around her. She wasn't big on physical affection, but Katie seemed to need this. "It's ok," she'd whisper to her, holding her in her arms. "It's ok Katie."

Vespa didn't really know anything about panic attacks, but she could tell that Katie was freaking out. "Its ok...just uh.....focus on my voice," she'd tell her, "yeah...focus on me, focus on my voice."

"I'm right here," she'd say, gently leaning her forehead against hers. "I'm right here Katie," just being here was the only thing she knew to do in this situation. "Just....wrap your arms around me, squeeze me."

The reaper girl would keep her arms around her, holding her close. Before Katie she hadn't really felt much for anyone, but now that she had her she wanted her to be ok.

"Just..squeeze me and don't let go," the grim girl would tell her. She did a good job of hiding her fear of her potentially inevitable death, so she didn't expect others to freak out over it.
