Willow was stalking a small female deer, while large enough to feed Willow with extra to spare it was not a young one. This would allow her to feed guilt free young animals being ones that are meant to more or less grow and produce young of their own verses being eaten. It was the responsible thing to do as a hunter and human.

As a wolf she wanted to turn her nose up at the idea, young ones were weak and the weak perished to feed the strong. The wolf within her was growing tired of this cat and mouse and with a mighty charge Willow ended it. Teeth gnashing and jaws clamping shut tightly, the taste of blood on her tongue. This was nature. This was the cycle of life. Life. Death. Food. Prey.

When the final trickles of life fled the deer in her maw something hit her nose not too far away either.. It smelled like a pup.. Male to be specific.. There were no other scents minus the smell of salt on the breeze.

Choosing to leave the kill behind for now Willow took off at a full run to meet the new an unfamiliar scent head on. Sniffing wildly around to pinpoint the origin.

Achuchi was doing his best to not be spotted.

He'd been running around the forest for several days and learned a few crucial things to keep himself alive. The holes in the bases of trees were a good source of food and shelter, but there were other animals that found the smell and taste of bunnies that were much bigger and much stronger than himself.

To combat that, it made sense to stay as deep in the rabbit hold as possible.

But his sweater didn't make that easy.

He peaked out to check for safety, before wandering out into the forest, sniffing the air. His ears were perked up and the small were's tail wagged every so slightly as he tried to find the next safe place.

Achuchi padded away in a random direction.
