It was late and Ela can not sleep she doesn't know why but she sort of thinks that she is home sick or she had a nightmare and can not get to sleep again but she doesn't know, so she was walking towards the Lounge with her two bags with her stuff and then she sat down on the floor and looked around no one was out she was alone. She smiled and pulled out a laptop and opened it and turned it on then started to type a e-mail to her family and friends.

Max couldn't sleep.

He was having nightmares, the same ones he'd been having for the past five or six months, with his parents and sister and brothers burning. Now his siblings were following him, clinging to his arms with their unearthly cold hands and whispering unintelligible remarks to each other.

The lounge. Thankfully, it was almost empty, a lone girl sprawled on the floor doing something with her laptop. He shook the ghosts off him, knowing they'd just be back in a minute but hardly caring. He dropped down on one of the loveseats, propping his head up with one of the decorative cushions and turning on one of the tiny lights that he hoped was dull enough to not attract attention.

They came back, and this time he just ignored them as best he could, seeing as for some reason he wasn't getting flashbacks anymore. He grabbed the book he'd taken with him off the floor, unable to keep himself from glancing back at his brother's tormented face for just a second before turning away and to his book.

Ela's headshot up when a boy came in and saw that he walked to a loveseat andsit down. She smiled and went back to her e mails and finshed them then sat the laptop on the floor next to her bags and she standed and walked towards the boy and said in a low voice so it will not be heard from people who are sleeping.

"Hello... I just saw that you didn't sleep well or something and thought I should come and say hello and that you should have compeny, my mom always said its good to have compeny when there is no one else but the two that is here." She smiled sweetly and looked the boy over then said. "My name is Ela Heart." Her rings and ear rings twinkled in the light from the lamp.

Max softly closed his book, glancing back at his brother who was now clawing at his own face. "Is that so?" He mused, flipping his legs upright to provide her with sitting space. "I'll have to remember that."

He could feel her looking at him, not bothering to do the same as a previous glance had shown nothing but the shining of various jewelry. The lamp was too weak to reach her, and her image flickered enough that he wasn't even sure she was real. He held out a hand to shake, relaxing when her hand proved much too solid, too real to be a spirit. "Max Fairbairn." He smiled lightly, scottish accent giving his last name an obvious twist. "Pleasure 'ta meet you, lass."

She shaked his hand and then sat down and still smiled and thought that why this boy called Max was up but it didn't matter that much she will ask later but now she was getting to know and hopefully a soon to be friend. She looked around then said.

"Its a Pleasure to meet you to Max." She smiled then said again.

"So you are scottish I suppose." She looked him over more to see if she can see him better but can not but she didn't care much. She standed and walked to her bags and grabed them then walked back to the loveseat and sat back and sat the bags next to her feet and pulled out a ring holder andstarted to take her rings off and when she got them off she put the ring holder back in the bag and then pulled out a ear ring holder and started to take off her ear rings. After awhile she put the holder back looked at Max and there was that sweet smile still on her face.

"Aye, 'tis." He grinned lightly, examining her for a few seconds in the light before nodding almost imperceptibly and smiling again. Definitely not a ghost.

"How can everyone teall?" Max sighed and absent mindedly ran a hand through his hair, leaving it even more tousled then before.
He watched as she walked across the room to gather her bags, wondering if the conversation was over as soon as it had started. But no, she was coming back, and taking off her vast collection of jewelry that had somehow reminded Max of his oldest sister. "And why are you up, Ela Heart?" He questioned, tilting his head just enough that a few locks of hair managed to block his vision. "If you don't mind tellin' me, that is."

Ela had to think awhile since she didn't really remember and then it came to her and she said.

"Well... It was a nightmare, about... Bad stuff happeing." Her smile was gone as she said those words. "And homesickness." This time she did smile again and looked Max up and down again but there wasn't anything to see anymore on Max that would get her Attention so she stoped looking up and down Max and stared out around the room.

"Why are you up Max if you don't mind telling me." Her smile left again and she still stared around the room in deep thought.

As if reminded of his unearthly duty, his brother's ghost began tearing at his face again and Max shrugged reluctantly. "Dreams, homesickness, same as you." He flashed a glance at the ghost hovering behind him, turning back and wondering yet again if Ela was in fact real. "Sad part is, I'm not so sure bein' awake's any better."

Ela tilted her head a bit then after awhile her head shot up stright again as if she heard something but she didn't she looked around the back at Max and smiled again as if he was right but all she said was.

"Well, I think its better when there is someone to keep the person compeny." She smiled sweetly again and still looked at Max like she was looking through him but then she looked around and at the stuff in the room.
