[color=336699]Veronica lazily swiveled her milky blue pupils heavenward, reaching in one pocket of her black cargo pants for a hair band.
She found one, tying her shiny chalk colored hair back and tugging down her too-short violet sweater more then a tad nervously before pulling open the heavy door to the shop.
A strip of bells announced her arrival, and she could hear the shop owner's shirt rustle as he looked up.
She still couldn't believe the mall near the Academy actually had a skateboard shop, but she'd felt the words with her own hands, and now that she was inside she could hear a few people scattered here and there around the small store, flicking wheels and the accidental knocking of one board against another. She offered a tight-lipped smile to the owner, cane tapping as she made her way to the back where the pre-assembled boards were situated.
She started to levitate her cane beside her, remembering that not all the people here were students and tucking it under a skinny arm instead. She ran her fingers over the nearest board, shaking her head slightly and moving on. A crap board, if she'd ever felt one... If she got on that, she knew she'd be flat against the pavement before long. The wheels were all wrong...
Of course, what did she know? She sighed, touching a hand to her temple momentarily and continuing her search. [/color]
